@Zero_epyon: Yeah I see, hopefully that's the case--it would be stupid to withhold consoles for that one game.

Anyone else get an email from Gamestop saying their order is delayed because the manufacturer postponed the release date? Obviously that's bull, they just oversold their supply.

Screenshot of this email?

I figured out what the issue was, I had to get one of the bundles and since they delayed Playstation All Stars they said the order is delayed. Now I don't know if they are going to withhold the entire order now or what.

Lol, dude, no. It is definitely not going to be the same thing.

When I say the same thing, I don't mean the same amount of time. Of course with an SSD it will be faster, but there will still be loading upon death and probably even fast travel. Don't buy the hype so much, Sony is the king of the oversell.

I cant recall Zero Dawn having loading screens.

During fast travel and I think when you died.

Yes and yes.

Its going to be the same thing in this game--that's why they use the words "virtually none". Loading upon restart is fine, as long as once your in the game, there's no loading when say going from an outdoor environment to an indoor, that's perfectly fine.

@subspecies: I'm talking transitioning through areas, not loading saves. That I don't care about that at all, as long as its not ridiculously long.

@tormentos: Well I read polygons and they complained about the violence too. However, what was funny though; is she essentially said she was upset that as a gay female character she was just a violent barbarian like male characters. But then said if she was super violent because she was part of a marginalized group, it would have been better lol. I mean in a world where you're not even sure about your next meal or if you will become the next meal to some monster--I doubt people who give two shits about someones sexuality. If they do, then they are too dumb to live for very long anyway.

Game looks really good. There was one negative in the GS review here I agree with:

Much of the violence you inflict goes unexamined, which makes the gruesomeness of it just unpleasant

I have to cosign this. The violence is a little too realistic. I was getting uneasy watching gameplay footage hearing the realistic blood curdling screams accompanying the very well done fluid animations. It goes a little too far. Some could see this as a positive (it *technically* is one), but in the 1 hour of footage I saw, I had a different reaction.

Same thing I said in the comments section before they seemed to have been removed: Its a video game, you cant have a deep philosophical reflection on every kill--the game has to maintain a pace. Secondly, its good to show violence for what it is; its a horrible thing that is often taking for granted as joke. I mean people don't mind watching peoples skulls get cracked in Mortal Kombat because its cartoonish; this is real so the character doesn't think about it, but the player can.
