@MirkoS77: I wonder if it's lost on Sargent that such retribution for perceived wrongs is how Nazi Germany fell down the Holocaust rabbit hole.

Godwin's law?

I'm glad you brought that up because the creator of Godwin's Law regrets creating it specifically because modern Republicans resemble Nazis so much.

But when people draw parallels between Donald Trump’s 2024 candidacy and Hitler’s progression from fringe figure to Great Dictator, we aren’t joking. Those of us who hope to preserve our democratic institutions need to underscore the resemblance before we enter the twilight of American democracy.

And that’s why Godwin’s Law isn’t violated — or confirmed — by the Biden reelection campaign’scriticism of Trump’s increasingly unsubtle messaging. We had the luxury of deriving humor from Hitler and Nazi comparisons when doing so was almost always hyperbole. It’s not a luxury we can afford anymore.

Ah man, it's become a parody of itself now. lmao

I absolutely love opposite-minded folks and equally communicating with them. I mean I married someone completely opposite to me... although she is slowly converting... slowly...

Plus its healthy to step outside your "box" -- I have friends outside my profession and outside my "views" because its important to have different perspectives. Plus... it makes games like Cards Against Humanity and drinking that much more fun.

Hmm so you don't deny it. Concerning...

Sounds like a conspiracy... It's always a conspiracy.

The Hope Hicks testimony has been sort of interesting to read about, from numerous perspectives.

On one hand, you have this beauty pageant winner model bimbo sobbing over how awesome her boss is...

...while at the same time incriminating him by saying he knew exactly what he was doing [while committing crimes] and that he was a very competent businessman [again, all while he was committing numerous crimes].

I wonder if the Trump defense will throw her under the bus by implying she is an idiot that was only good for steaming Trump's suits and she doesn't know what she is talking about.

Hey, I'm the resident communist here. Don't you forget it comrade.

😋

And I recommend the .45-70 Henry. My buddy had one and while the ammo is pricey and the kick was huge, having a rifle that could shoot through a buffalo head to ass (if you wanted to, not saying we ever did...) was pretty great.

One of! But yes, my fellow Californian, you get first rights. :P Plus I know you're actually a good sport and don't take all this too seriously...Probably because of all the beer! *Cheers*

I'm hard pressed because I already have lots of .270 ammo but the 30-06 was calling my name. I already have an old 30-30 that handed down to my from my grandpa, but wanted something new that I can pass down to my son. Plus, lever actions tug at a string for my heart. Henry makes some high quality stuff though.

I mean, add some artificial hair coloring, a face mask, and a lot of non-sensical/gibberish, and you have a picture-esque caricature of the hilarity from the angry women that were screaming at me and my unit this week after they were forcibly removed from a college campus. I do not recall hearing anything Trump related though, just that we were complicit in committing genocide... lol I'm sure the TDS will be in full force here in a few months.

The 19 hours of overtime though will net me a new firearm. I'm thinking a Marlin or Henry lever-action rifle. :)

🥱🥱I agree, it'll be on full display in a few months when he goes to jail and meal team six comes out of the woodworks to bitch about their sloven god.

Anything is possible, comrade. :)

I downloaded Fallout 4 again on my PC and started up Fallout 76 on PS5. I forgot just how entertaining these games are... altho Fallout 4 crashed during the opening section which made me lol.

Not expecting a huge upgrade though. I mean it is Bethesda... hopefully it's a stable release. lol (not likely)

We don't need silly political threads reminding everyone that Biden can barely formulate a coherent sentence.
