Wow... No Sony at all for this? They must've gone harder on Gaas than I had expected. They're known for announcing games waaaaaay too early so having nothing to show must mean we are many years away from a Sony studio game? Seems crazy that they've had such a drout this generation.

As much as I'd hate to say it, but we need another good gimmick, whatever that may be. A graphics upgrade just isn't quite doing the trick.
It's called gameplay evolution. Games need to stop chasing cinema as a priority. What advances the medium is fresh gameplay ideas. How many times can we be over the shoulder of a guy with a gun? Or in a FPS perspective before diminishing returns make everything feel stale and predictable?
The current AAA model seemingly believes that telling more cinematic stories with flasher visuals and performance will trump our desire to interact with games in diverse and meaningful ways. More than a gimmick, we simply need fresh ideas....
Appreciate the feedback! Repeat topic though. Gonna lock.

Not sure if this has been discussed. If so, I'll delete.... I noticed it's a trending story on N4G and it's one of those things that irks me....
Is there any case of a game having a release day review embargo that actually delivered? My expectations aren't massive for Hellblade, but things like that seem like writing on the wall. Are we about to see a flop?
PlayStation has plenty of games. Microsoft makes them.
Can't wait for Sony to get back to what they are good at. Don't mind the odd live service game thrown in but they need to go back to what they do.
What if youre not the person they want to make games for anymore? And Who "goes back" to what they're good at? It's about following the flow of money for Sony....and everyone else.
Those with the money to make the biggest and best games are also the most creatively bankrupt.... Truly disappointing.
Interesting! Digital sales are becoming more pronounced every quarter for Nintendo. I own a switch and roughly 60 or so games since launch. I own 3 physical switch games... Botw, totk and Mario odyssey. The rest were digital downloads. I only purchased physical because my son wanted to play them on his switch as well.
Outside of Nintendo and possibly steam, who is actually making good decisions? Sony and Microsoft have been equally embarrassing... Claiming high ground on a pile of poo is still standing in poo.
yes but more consoles sold = more games sell. why is that so hard to see?
without pc xbox would folded by now.
more potential customers across both console and PC = more games sold..
why is that so hard to see?..
they shouldn't have to. if they did it sony way bringing games to ps plus year later game sales on xbox would of made there money without putting there games on the competitors console. which = more xbox console sales. gamers need competition for each console.
if not they will just become lazy like ps3 and 360 error. ps3 had to wake up and make better games last few years of its life. then 360 they got lazy at end of its life cycle and let all there first party go and had xbox one launch disaster.
it's just the current reality.. as stated by the CEO of Sony, PlayStation's future is on console, PC, cloud, and mobile..
limiting games to one plastic box just isn't the way to do business moving forward..
But they release there major games on ps5 first. there third party exclusives yes on pc and ps5 day one.
steller blade, spiderman 2, miles, ratchet and clank so on and so forth. it keeps playstation alive.
only third party exclusives are on pc and ps5 day one.
But Playstation fans didn't buy rachet and klank. It didn't recover dev costs until it was on PC. How many rachet and klank games can be ist party exclusive is Sony fans won't buy it?
