Super Mario Galaxy's planets worked because the camera was centered where we could see and interact with near enemies and obstacles from a top down perspective while showing us places to go in the horizon due to its curved nature. It's a perfect blend for 3D platforming that can't be in every game so the next best alternative is to have the camera under our control most of the time. I felt cheated on by Super Mario 3D World's perspective. It's pratically no different than an isometric game made easier through polygons.

I liked Sonic Advance 3 the most out of the Gameboy Advance games. Getting the right characters for moves and combos allowed each stage to be played in more ways than one in spite of its spike and enemy traps. The level design was kept fast without making us roam against the stream for exploration like Sonic Advance 2 and there were enough bonus games in the hub world.

These games were free in abandonia and now they decided to profit on that which fans had to find a solution for so that they could play on modern systems. Nice move!

If that happened, then the PS brand would be the new Atari, peeking at a new generation with the PS4 Pro, only to deliver a new console in short time, leading to an identity crisis in gaming. I wouldn't mind a Japanese gaming crash of major publishers without a native console to target. It would mirror the 80s and let Microsoft create a niche in Japan of triple-A gaming. Then, when Japanese developers are reborn, the SEGA Phoenix shall arrive ;)
