Well, for what it's worth, it already looks as if at least one game has confirmed such a feature...

"The YouTube upload feature is going to revolutionize how people share tips. Up until now it has been limited to people with video capture equipment, but from now on, anyone can record their game and upload it directly to YouTube from within the game! It is as simple as pushing one button to start and one button to stop and upload, and there is no affect on the gameplay thanks to the power of the PS3 and its abundance of SPU processors."

Use the triangle button and select "Import" from Music when your CD is highlighted.

Before you rip your CD though, you'll want to configure the settings for which you rip the audio. Settings --> Music Settings

Unless you're a real audiophile, anything above 192kbps for an mp3 seems like an over-kill, in my opinion.

Most likely, your CDs will not display album art, but you can add your own. Just find the picture (Google Images is fastest), save it, and when you're ready to add it to your music, just highlight the album you ripped, hit the Triangle button, go to Information, and press X to edit the cover art.

You could just tell your contact to send you a message and then add them that way.

Well, you could get aOptical Toslink to Coaxial (RCA) Digital Audio Converter from monoprice.com.

You would need one coax cable and one optical cable. However, I haven't tested it myself, so I don't know how much quality you'd be losing through it.

I got 12 hour silver (not knowing i had to have GOLD to play Halo 3) but crackdown came with the gold 48 trial so what happens if i used the 48 trial after already having silver?RonMaverick804

How do you have a "12 hour silver?" Silver is the basic Live, meaning you have it for free for as long as the service is provided by Microsoft. If you bought or receieved a Gold card membership trial, then that will replace your Silver membership until Gold expires.

Hm, nevermind, I discovered the source of the problem. Turns out, that the volume control from the music player itself was the problem. When increased to +1 or +2, the sound becomes MUCH worse. Left at normal, it sounds fine. Funny, I don't even remember seeing an internal volume control on the system until now.

I've noticed that the PS3's sound output isn't always digital, or at least, that's what my receiver tells me. Normally, using the Xbox 360 along with the Logitech z5500 via a digital optical cable, the sound is always in Digital format, whether I'm playing a game or just listening to music. However, I've noticed that when I'm listening to music on the PS3, my receiver does NOT output in the same way the 360 does, and quite frankly, that's the only thing that seems to make the HUGE difference in sound quality between the two when playing music. The games on the PS3 sound clean, both sound effects and music, but the music I play on the PS3 tend to static and buzz to the point that it becomes a nuissance. I've played around with numerous settings on the PS3's sound output, but nothing really makes a difference. I've also tried the very same mp3 files for both, I use the same type of cables for both and I've switched the effects on the receiver itself and yet, the 360 seems far superior in sound quality when playing solely music. I can only assume that is because the sound is being output much like the 360 outputs both games and music (even though mp3s on the 360 only play out of two speakers).

Anyways, my dilemma is whether I should be concerned with my PS3, my speakers, or some other source that I may be eluded of completely.

finally someone who can have a civil conversation and leave facts at facts and avoid any insults coz that was the best one could do. I acknowledge that there are artists that do write there own, and as I said above, there are those that do, but the majority dont. and yes image plays a part. Black metal, Im well aware of, along with the many many many other metal genres that have been created over the years. yes, some look like complete fools with their "war paint" etc. then theres bands like lordi that use theatrics as part of their show. Motley Crue have more publicity than you can poke a stick at but most of it isnt asked for...vince neil drunk doing the chicken dance anyone? tommy lee slingin the paparatzi into the middle of the road from his camera etc. the same can be said for ppl like eminem etc with their gun charges n whatnot.. and then theres burzum..probably the most unwanted publicity they could have wanted but then again, it suited the image of the band and everyone loved them for it..not so much the murder but the church burning.. thats a whole different story, and it has nothing to do with satanism! what original started this was I expressed my opinion and was insulted for it, so then I pointed out the facts to why my opinion is what is its. then another decided to open their mouth, with nothing useful to be said. you are the first person to actually say something with belief and point and I commend you for that. but once again, the majority of metal write their own songs because they actually believe in the point of what they are singing about. (not saying that rappers/pop stars dont believe what they are singing) but the majority have had those words put into their mouths. you cannot deny that. They all plagerise one anothers music, same beat different melody, same melody different beat. u get the idea. like that damn rianna song SOS..theres a whole generation of ppl believing that is her song..its actually tainted love with the words changed..I ask you, where the hell is the talent there???

Well, at the very least consider avoiding using words such as "majority" when describing such debatable topics, considering that there is no chance you've touched the "majority" of any type of music. I'm not attacking you, I'm simply trying to point out that it seems as if your anger stems from the ignorance of people, and not because artists borrow a melody, lyric or even an entire song, because even Metal has plenty of cover songs, too. Keep in mind that any plagiarism, especially in popular music, would quickly result in a lawsuit, so naturally, the performer has to give credit where it's due. You could look at it in a number of ways... one being that the performer has a genuine love of the original and a second being a quick way to cash in. My opinion may seem biased, but I see popular music as falling into the latter.

and wheres that US only?? hrmm funny thats only one.. lets see what do we got. DOWNLOAD, WACKEN, ROCK AM RING, HELLFEST, GRASSPOP, OZFEST, GIGANTOUR, BANG YOUR HEAD, WITH FULL FORCE, 2000 DECIBEL, AERODOME, AGGLUNITATION, AKZENA ROCK FESTIVAL, ALFAROCK, ANKKAROCK, BARTHER METAL OPEN AIR, BLAST FESTIVAL, BLOODSTOCK, BRUTAL ASSULT, CDM METALFEST, forbidden>

so are you saying you only listen to rock music because they have festivals around the world? that makes the music sound good? interesting... they should make a fighting game with rock stars and call it 'Fight For the Trailer Park' that would be sweet DUDE!

no not at all..Im saying that it is more popular even tho it isnt as commercial as pop/rap etc and therefore they dont need all the publicity to sell their music. look at pop/rap music videos. its filled with dancing and women in skimpy clothing. has nothing to do with the music. the majority of Metal videos is just of the band in some landscape playing their music, some may have a story, but they dont need all the publicity as the music is good enough to sell it on its own warrents. and thats why there is all these festivals, because the music alone sells. not the clothing/women/etc in the videos and publicity stunts.

You know that there are a myriad of artists from a plethora of genres (rap and pop, among others) that legitimately write their own music and manage to create a fan base around their talents, however, making a claim saying that musicians in a certain genre (rock, or metal in this case) sell their music without the aid of "publicity stunts" is simply false. Judging by the Old Man's Child avatar you're presenting there, I imagine that you're aware of "Black Metal," even if your idea of the genre might be highly clouded. Image plays a large part in music, whether you choose to believe it or not, and the "clothing/women/etc" plays just as large of a role in popular music as it does even within the "underground," no matter how aesthetically contradictory they may seem.

I digress, however. Tried the demo, played through it twice, and promptly deleted it. The combat system was just a little too alien for my tastes.
