It's amazing how the movie and TV industries are still putting out physical media gladly, but in gaming people up top are desperate to be rid of it. It's almost like "I'll take your money however you want to give it to me" is a better way to do business than trying to herd people into only ONE way to consume media.
The need for growth at all costs is what got the industry in the crap shape it's in.
Having digital be a part of a multi-faceted industry is fine, but if you try to push everyone away from physical, or away from single-player, or anything else, we're going to stay where we are now - a small box where only certain people are welcome. For a business as expensive as gaming is, that's a bad thing.
@gamespotter_198: I'll let you know what he means: He hates diversity, and thinks that it's the sole reason we're here, as opposed to the masses of soulless trash that's been getting released most of the last generation into this one.
@BloodMist: Nijisanji is actually a vtuber talent agency that has been exposed for horrendous treatment of talent. Way more stuff than I care to get into, but they're clearly another company that thinks the suits are what made them.
