@thedarklinglord: I agree. This site has become less "journalism" -- professional, and more "The Sun"-ish. I like reading a good article on interesting stuff -- not clicking past a slideshow with LEGO-styled flavour-text: "Here we see the face-buttons: cross, triangle, square and circle" ...... nice!
@punksterdaddy: I run a Gainward GeForce 980 Ti, more than enough RAM, 4.0 Ghz Intel Processor, and on MAX settings (none of that FXAA -bullshit: when I say MAX, I mean MAX) on 2k resolution I run the game at 30-33 FPS.
How about writing about the actual PS4/Xbone version : are there any differences? Are there any additions, like "Shen's Last Gift`" ? How is the gameplay keyboard and mouse vs. controller? Is it a good "port"? Are the graphics truly fitted for the Xbone/PS4? The PC version suffers from very questionable frame-rates, has this been ironed out for the console release?
Reviews have gone to shit... bring back Van ord and let him and Peter Brown deal with ALL the reviews... Writing a review isn't just a silly stream of consciousness, it's dedicated, hard work.
find this pretty annoying. I reinstalled the game when I heard that the mods were available for the Xbone, but was surprised to find out that they were not yet made available to the PS4. Pretty bogus! Sony better get this right, or I'll be majorly dissapointed.
@computernoises: I understand. The stories of these games can be very vague, abstract, and difficult to grasp/follow. Demon's Souls is the game that I best connect with, and the "story elements" of Dark Souls 3 is to me the vaguest. The games do have some amazing lore, and they are worth checking out.
I think I'd put True King Allant, or The Old One pretty high on this list because of the "feels". You've through a tough journey to get to this point. You know you're facing the corrupted once-graceful King Allant. The False King -fight was kind of tough, how will this fight be? You face the true king, the once famed king, now twisted, deformed, and despondent. It's a tragedy, it's a shame. The lore is strong. A fantastic and tragic ending to a great game.
