I suppose the fact that Stacks aren't gone yet is something...unless they're planning on waiting a full year. In which case, dick move, GS/Fandom.

@DaManFL: Seems like everyone has this issue now. Sigh. Here's a workaround user achilles123 provided a few months ago when folks were first reporting it:

@achilles123 said:

@brenohs: you can temporarily resolve the issue by adding your profile name to the stack's URL, so:

https://www.gamespot.com/profile/stacks/some-stack becomes

https://www.gamespot.com/profile/brehons/stacks/some-stack

But yeah, they seem to have changed the way URLs are constructed and didn't update stack links...

Hopefully all of our Stacks won't be deleted soon. Maybe someone just isn't fixing the error for whatever reason...

GameSpot's been weird for the past few months. People can't access their Stacks without having to adjust the URL, random front page articles have given me a 500 error when I click on them, and I have also noticed this list is outdated. Did Fandom cut costs for keeping this website running efficiently?! GameSpot is an old, venerable website with a lot of users, there should be people taking care of this place...

Looks like a lot more people are having this issue. Here's a workaround someone a month or so ago figured out:

This has been an issue since about mid-November for me. Worried GS is planning to get rid of these, though I did have a 500 error clicking on an article on the main page on Monday, which tells me GS is having issues just about everywhere. Have you guys only just started not being able to access Stacks normally? Have you all not signed in or checked on your Stacks since November? If it's happening at different times for different people, something else might be going on here...

@Bumblebee1138: Honestly, it's been a month at this point. I saw another person post a complaint about a site glitch in another forum and a moderator duly said GS was looking into it and moved the thread here. There have now been three threads about the Stacks in this forum, and no one from GS has responded to ANY of them. This really worries me. PLEASE DON'T GET RID OF THE STACKS FEATURE, GAMESPOT/FANDOM, WE REALLY LIKE IT AND THINK IT'S FUN!

@Massacher:

Looks like everyone's starting to have this problem. There was another thread discussing this in this forum. here's the solution someone figured out so you can still see and edit them:

Of course, this doesn't solve the issue of WHY GS hasn't fixed this yet; it's been almost a month for me. Like I said in the other thread, kinda worried they might be phasing Stacks out, but then they probably would've just deleted them and not changed URLs. THAT, however, doesn't explain why I and others messaged Support only to be ignored...

Echoing the others. Thank you so much dude, seriously. It's weird how they haven't fixed this issue even after several weeks, though.

@bhuj

Same. I sent a support ticket as well, but they seem to be just ignoring me. :-/ I have a stack that I use to keep track of all the games I want but have yet to buy, so being able to access it is pretty important to me.

I hope they aren't planning on getting rid of them. It's a fun feature that lets people list out the stuff they own, want, have played, etc and also lets them write about it without it necessarily having to be a review. Given that Stacks are still here, maybe it's nothing to worry about, but part of me is gravely concerned they were brought up in a board meeting over cutting website costs or something and this is the first step of phasing them out...Support not telling anyone anything is kind of unsettling, and it's not like there hasn;t been a shortage of corporate crappiness lately...

@achilles123: OH MY GOD THANK YOU. I made a forum thread a couple weeks ago and thought it was only on my end, and even reached out to to Support, who NEVER got back to me. You're a dang lifesaver.

Oh wait, I just found the Support site. Probably better to direct this issue there. My bad. Mods, you can delete this if you want.

Hi,

For the last 24 hours, I've been getting 500 error pages when I try to access my Stacks. My main Stacks page that shows the categories works, but when I click on any of them, the error screen pops up. I've been using them to practice my writing on games or just gush about them, so maybe there was a lot of text there? I had just recently updated it, after all. I am able to see other peoples' Stacks, so it feels like this might be from what I did despite the 500 error page saying it's on GameSpot's end. Were they deleted?
