I find it funny how everybody is so closed minded about their beliefs in life. You have Christians that are close minded and you have close minded Atheists. You have Atheists that are just as close minded as the Westboro church, it's funny to me. I imagine everybody reaches a point in their life where they are stuck in their beliefs. Me, I'm not a Christian but I found god. I have my own personal relationship with her and the universe. I have my place on the internet where people accept my beliefs as something positive on their life. Everybody does. You can't change who you are, it just is.

Have you reached a point in your life where you are stuck in your beliefs and view of life?

We can change who we are. People literally change everyday that we sleep because our brains rewire themselves. Who told you otherwise?

There is something to say about being closed-minded versus being open-minded. Some would say that being open-minded is the best way to approach all situations. I suppose this argument would be contradicted by someone seeking to preserve his sense of self when being exposed to mind manipulation techniques that are shown on the television through marketing which can be good or bad. Having said that, being completely closed to alternative views leads to intellectual stagnation. You see that happening with science as we have folks in the news agreeing that people should find the study "that works for them," and disregard conflicting research. As a science major, this is quite disturbing to me because sensationalism takes precedence in everyday life and in scholarly reports for research money in place of credibility and logic even at the cost of professional integrity.

@Serraph105: They have been calling it early from the beginning since superdelegates do not actually vote until their respective party conventions.

No delegates vote until their respective party conventions.

The superdelegates are not switching to Sanders. It's over.

Tell me.

In that case, why is there public voting?

I am not sure where the notion came from that there can only be a single hero in the mythological hero's journey, and I think it is incorrect. In the hero's journey archetype, there is usually a group that grows together. Son Goku is the main protagonist of Dragon Ball Z, but within this mythology, the Z team are all "true" heroes in accordance to the system of morality that is at the core of this mythology.

@xantufrog:I like the Video Games Live rendition of Baba Yetu from Civilization V.

Loading Video...

A big part of my family speaks Swahili, and listening to this encourages me to learn it.

@ruthaford_jive: I would suggest that you be careful with the words that you use to describe mental illness. The phrase "mental deficiencies" applies to intellectual disabilities, but not mental illness.

Thanks.

I never heard that term till recently. You think the omniverse is what we are living in now? I believe we are. The universe we live in seems too small for it to be the only thing that exists.

There are two prevailing concepts about reality. One is the universe that is one reality. The other is the multiverse that is multiple realities in existence.

The word omni simply means "all," so it could apply to either one that is correct. Therefore, I am not quite sure if you mean something else outside of the defined meaning.

@xantufrog: I think that the original Halo (Combat Evolved) is the best Halo game that I played. For its time, its graphics were high grade. Though it has some bugs, it is good quality gameplay. There is a variety of weapons. The soundtrack is memorable. My personally most intense experience with Combat Evolved was playing single player on legendary, and I figured out how to dodge enemy fire in groups, and fire a superior salvo in those situations with the automatic rifle.

Multiplayer was an amazing experience. It was phenomenal because other players could come together to challenge each other in games of skill. Althoug the pistol is overpowered, it was at times an equalizer for tanks. :P

I think that you should ask yourself what the purpose for you having those games is. After that, you can figure out how you will do that.
