As for the likelihood of that future boom, that's up in the air. I have no hope that the crypto folks will see reason; that as long as crypto is not backed by any tangible assets, its price will continue to be driven only by demand, and therefore will always extremely volatile. They seem to be sadomasochistically embracing that volatility.

It backed by hopium. :) I don't see it affecting degen projects really.

I've had issues with RDR2 and HDR. Bit of a nightmare, when you get it working though it's just gorgeous. Using an LGC8 65" with RGB/Full/8bit because only HDMI 2.0 :(.

My son has a C9 in his room, Gsync, hdmi 2.1, 4k/120. Not fair.

It's great. I couldn't find a 5900x in stock and I really don't need the 5950x (My son is in a queue for one). First AMD chip I've had in maybe 15 years.

Really pleased so far. Going to have to look at OC'ing it as I'm a bit outta the loop with AMD stuff, I might still grab a 5900x if I see one, I like the idea of the extra cores and from what I've seen each tier improves fps quite nicely.

@BassMan: Hey man. I did give everything up. When life changes you roll with the punches. I feel very lucky to have got a 3090 FE and at retail too, I've seen them in stock once. My son is on the lookout for a 3090 too so we're F5ing the 3090 links all the time. That's RGB in my PC, I change it now and again. Purple with green accents at the moment.

I didn't think the GS PC board would be so desolate.

Yeah, I tried my hardest to get changes made back in 2016. I had loads of Ideas, ways forward. I had a massive thread in the feedback board where we were TCOB (taking care of business), I did enact some change but I don't think it was enough.

I don't think I can be a Mod again seeing as I have 12 posts now, lol. I'd be open to it though, maybe. I like the idea of getting GS back to it's pre Jeff Firing Heyday. ( That was a dark time for the forums)
