if your also going to buy quality audio setup for it and arent buying an entry level model then sure why not. but its a huge investment for a return you might not necissarily want or get any use out of.

there mobile version they wont be the same in preformance. the battery of a laptop will always be inferior to a desktops ability to just be plugged into a wall. its going to be a chipset of sorts boiled away. they wont be 1:1 comparisons at all

if your serious about this you can just go down to most supermarkets or pharmacies and buy a wrist protector from them. and they can help you out, there isnt a really good way to know what there measurement system is because it isnt standardized across brands or continents. so honestly a situation like down at a retail outlet where you can try them on is almost the better way to go.

as a guy with one because my desk setup situation has had to become really bad in order to have a desktop at all in working order i went that route, pretty much every pharmacy in coughing distance sells them

a good game but one that isnt worthy of the homeworld title. it feels a lot better to be maybe a different label on it, or maybe a game for another franchise. but it doesnt feel like a homeworld game to me

Is it because it's too modern? That's what's putting me off slightly.

well homeworld was always a very multi leveled game with layers upon layers of customizability and depth. it was a big map for matches with lots of freedom in how to approach winning. deserts of karhak feels a lot more like someone tried to make a better command and conquer 4 but forgot to label it properly so they slapped the homeworld logo on it. or the supreme commander logo or something along those lines. in the end your left with a flat generic build tree, a flat upgrade system, tiny maps with narrow room for exploration or use of terrain to be tactical to generate choke points or alternate routes to the enemies base. and it has really clumsy resource gathering.

its not a bad game if it isnt compared to its homeworld franchise counterparts, but its not perfect even then. the besty that can be said about it is that its average for an RTS.
