@jcafcwbb: No, you argument doesn't hold up. Since you are the one making the argument that the only reason people like the game is because it's on their system.
Hellblade games are niche, have beautiful art direction and demand a good attention span. Comparing them with fast food just because you don't like them is both hilarious and ridiculous.
@jcafcwbb: So what you're saying is that I enjoyed the first because I played it on my PS4 and now I enjoyed the sequel because I played it on my Series X? The secret then is playin games on systems you don't own?
This is an alternative perspective but could it be that you're not the setter of universal gaming standards and people have different tastes? Or are you saying that publications like Eurogamer and Game Informer only own Xboxes?
Finished it and immediately started a second run with the alternative narration. Really liked it, it improves in almost every single aspect of the original, except the writing which I think the first game is slightly better. But combat is freaking awesome and puzzles are greatly improved.
I "love" seeing journalists criticizing games not based on the merits of the game but based on some game they imagined it should be. I give Hellblade 2 a 1/10 because the driving just isn't as good as IRacing. Very disappointing.
It's a very niche game like the first, a great sequel to a great game. It was great when it released on PS and it's great now that's on Xbox. I hope it comes to PS5, it sucks that Playstation users who played and enjoyed the first can't keep following Senua's Saga.
