@FelipeInside: because they're are plenty of things I hated about Windows 10
Fair enough. I thought you downgraded just because you didn't see improvements.
What did you hate btw?
It took literally twice as long to boot. Applications were slower to load, the whole OS felt less responsive than 7. Background CPU usage was much higher leading to high temperatures and lower battery life. Was this an upgrade? I had the same issue and then did a clean install (reset) and everything works fast. It does take a few more seconds to boot and shutdown than Win8 though. MS know about this and will fix in upcoming patches.
I don't like the interface at all, I much preferred the transparency of 7. This is up to personal taste of course. I used to turn transparency off (Aero) anyway cause it would make the OS slower.
I hate the new settings system and how windows update now gives you no control. It decides to randomly restart for you... There's an option to schedule the restart times.
Couple these with privacy concerns and I really don't want to use it. It won't go on my personal laptop, work laptop or desktop for a long time. The data collection options can be turned off.
I'll point out some things on your post in case you want to try it again in the future.
Yes it was an upgrade, that was the main selling point of windows 10 - quick and easy install. If it only works properly on a clean install then Microsoft have made a mistake since most users will not be doing that.
The scheduling of restarts doesn't really work - windows picks a time itself so either you don't realise and your PC turns itself off, or it gets scheduled for the middle of the night and never happens. With windows 7 I can install updates and then next time I turn off the PC it automatically installed them - windows 10 doesn't seem to do this? It seems you have to either wait for the time it chose or explicitly tell it to restart and update. IIRC you also couldn't disable certain updates?
Sure, there are some options to turn off the dodgy spyware/botnet settings, but you shouldn't have to. And to be honest I bet there are plenty more hidden in there that you can't turn off. Windows 10 has already shown that it resets to default settings when you're not looking anyway - e.g. turning off anti virus lasts a short amount of time and then windows decides to turn it back on. I just don't trust it anymore since it doesn't let the user make their own decisions.
