I recently picked up Elder Scrolls Online after searching for months for a new MMO to play (and going through all of the above suggestions except for EVE). I'm about 50 hours in and so far it's a very pleasant experience. The production values are through the roof, which is nice, and the gameplay is more like a single player game than an MMO grind (esp if played in first person as it's meant to be). And it's cheap throughout the holiday season as they're obviously trying to get a massive influx of players. It's on sale everywhere.

I'm not too sure, really. None of my friends bought it out of series exhaustion; I'm just going by what the people are saying on the Steam forums and in the user reviews.

Check the Steam reviews again, mate. They aren't looking too positive.

Yeah, the Blops III beta ran really well too. Never pre-order anything on PC. How many times do you have to be let down before you learn? Aaauuugggghhhh!!!

Hahaha are you goddamn joking? If I wanted to use a controller I'd go play on a console. I play PC for a reason. I'm not going to fire up Hearts of Iron or Empire: Total War with my Steam controller. Are you nuts?
