@korvus: thanks. hopefully it isn't too difficult to pick a new one. though I admit that every time I got to guitar center and sam ash, I always fins at least 3 or 4 that I would buy if I had the money. and that's not even putting into consideration that I want to buy another bass as well.

burning oasis - iced earth

this is another artist I went through. they were pretty good.

its been a while since ive been here. looks like not much has changed really.

anyway, have a 3 day weekend from work. been pretty fun though. i work as a ride operator at a theme park. though its an hour and a half trip on the bus. at least its only one bus, and i have my ipod to keep me busy. just finished up a 5 day in a row work week a few days ago, and i have a late shift coming up this Saturday.

also recently changed the strings on my guitar as the previous set popped. had some EB cobalts on it before and loved the sound. went back to regular, and hated it. so i went to guitar center to buy new strings. i bought a set of cobalts, and a set of m-steels. put the m-steels in my guitar to try them out.

AND it has been pouring rain today, and its supposed to rain tomorrow. i was hoping to go to the theme park to have some fun tomorrow, but its starting to look like i wont be able to do that with the surprising weather.

FINALLY (lol) i might also be getting a new guitar next week. depends on if i find a good one at guitar center or sam ash. if i don't, then i have to wait until march 13th for Jackson to release their latest guitar that ive had my eye on.

seventeen - winger

since I got my job almost 2 months ago, ive flown by artists like crazy. the trip to work is 1 hour and a half, and I get an album done each trip. that's 2 albums a day. sometimes even more for artists with shorter albums. ive gone through pantera, winger, savatage, grave digger. just to name a few. currently finishing up running wild. about 5 more albums to go. at least I have a bunch of other artists lined up to check out afterwards.

yup. don't know what it is, but I did get it once. it was a completely white screen with "your connection timed out, please try again later" (or something along those lines) written in small font on the top left.

edit: it says "your request timed out. please retry the request." id post a photo, but every time I try, I get the red banner error.

as a quick reply to this, the first post of this topic appears as "edited" to me as well, so I guess that rules out the timeout as a reason.

don't know if this is a known issue or not, but when I posted a new topic on a forum, it first said the connection timed out and I should try again later. once I did it again, it posted, but it appears as "edited" instead of just initially posted. don't know if its because of the timeout, or if it just appears like that to me only. small thing, but still present none the less.

isn't that nice? I got it as a gift from my dad. we used to play TM4 together a LOT back in the day. now all I need to do is wait for a sale on a new PS3. it seems like these days they want to shove a refurbished system down your throat.

the poison - running wild

to encourage discussion, I like rock, metal, and its related genres. im always looking for suggestions on what to listen to. I usually look to youtube for that, but if anyone here has any recommendations, im open to them.

it is a travesty really. all we can do now is chat in the OT forums which are full of too many immature people.
