Racism, like cop violence, is misconstrued and massively overestated.

@DragonfireXZ95: We haven't seen it a dozen times because it's crap. The great design and basic rules are crap, nearly the entire game is resource collecting or walking to the next resource harvesting location. More than 90% of game time, Eve Online was less tedious and they called that game spreadsheets in space.

No Man's Sky is a cheap hamfisted veneer that forces a certain style of gameplay to delude the player into think there's more.

Past two months? Try ps4, Sony convinced me to go pc master for good after I bought a ps4. Dollar for dollar pc embarasses the ps4. It's so primitive and restrictive, bleck.

@spiderneck33:

I'm a video game developer. The order of importance goes for me

1.Fun

2.Unique

3.Runs smoothly including fps, not all 30 fps scenes are the same. Fps isn't everything but it's a big thing. Microstutter and LOD effect performance as much as raw fps.

4.Graphics

Yeah graphics are important because they establish ambience and atmosphere, but that's it. Without the foundation graphics are useless. People will enjoy a fun stick figure game more than fancy 3d models with no gameplay. The thing about graphics is they're the most superficial and easy to change.

You can edit a mountain scape or input the most detailed model in the world in seconds that will behave the same as the most basic 2d models.

Programming fun balanced gameplay is much more difficult. I could make a game with Mario from the NES and swap him with a fully 3d Nathan Drake in seconds.

If I wanted to program game mechanics, physics interactions, A.I. behavior, online functionality, projectile collisions etc. will take substantially longer.

Unreal 2, Crysis 2, Farcry 2 had fancy graphics but nobody plays those games now. Diablo 2 is fun and still has people running around with their little sprites fighting monsters. Fun is fun no matter what. People are beginning to see that, Stat Wars Battlefront was not fun. It was lazy.

Is it a good game though? Making linear on rails shooter scenes isn't exactly a technical achievement.

Get Ncix to make you one. Alienware is stupidly bad and overpriced.

Build a PC with a full tower, 32gb DDR 4 ram, a z170 mobo, Skylake architecture cpu, gtx 1080, windows 10, two ssds.

You'll get twice the value from NCIX

They make games with intent of becoming filthy rich and do not focus on making it fun. All the effort goes into marketing a 30 second trailer that idiots will fall for.

Probably the most overrated game ever. The environments were so linear it was painful and the enemies walked around in circular guard patterns like on the N64. They did a heck of a job with the production values as they always do, layer on the gimmicks until it appears like a good game. Prebaked lighting, linear environments, bad gunplay... I couldn't even finish the game it was too repetitive.

It's the last game I played with a story and it pretty much killed my interest in linear corridor shooters with boring gameplay. Give me good gameplay or give me nothing. Throwing the same bottle to distract the same enemy 100 times in a row is the opposite of fun. Please don't make me play it... I'd rather stare at a wall.
