Im having some problems with my mic ever since i got this pc. Whenever i plug in my mic ( ive tried all mic ports ) it does not pick up ANY sound at all. On my old pc running XP this mic is working so it is not broken. So has anyone got any ideas why my mic aint working? thanks in advance

Well since i got vista recently.. my new pc doesnt work with my mic for some reason.. and vista is completely new to me so i dont know how to fix it. Can someone suggest to me why my mic isnt picking up any sound? i plug it into the right slot and everything..
Well i installed prey.. and when i run it i encountered an error.. has anyone managed to make this game work on vista? And how? Its my friends so i dont really mind if it doesnt work on my pc :P
