Just tried Dark Souls 1 and loved it...until I had to replay the same stretch a million times and just gave up. I admire the game and the difficulty is kind of refreshing, but I want to delve into a game when I play, not replay the same parts over and over. Just a personal preference. Definitely a great game.
Truth. I think the best thing about videogames is they can be as engaging or mind-numbing as you want them to be at any given moment. Most other forms of entertainment can't function that way.

@viniciusbarth Yeah that's hard to believe. And how can you not have the desire to go back to the older games in the series. I replay them every couple years!

what really sets off my rage is when I finally complete a difficult portion of a game and there is no way to save afterward so if I die then I have to do it all over. Argggghhh!!
I have a hard time letting physical games go too. But when was the last time you went to a music store and bought a physcial music cd. It's not just this industry or that industry. The world's a'changin' people. Just sayin.
That said, if physical games are no longer viable, why will we need consoles. It's Microsoft, Sony, and Nintendo that should really be worried about that.
I enjoy all types of games, including FPS, but sometimes I do feel like there is an overwhelming number of shooters being produced. At a certain point they all start to feel the same. But as long as games are fun and innovative, who cares whether you're toting a gun, a sword, or a fireflower?
