The severe lack of Thomas Was Alone in this thread so far makes me sad. Not only is it my favorite indie title it's probably one of my favorite games of all time (top ten anyway)

Played the Alpha and I can safely say the whatever the review scored may be Destiny is going to me massive. Such a beautiful game as well and ridiculously fun to play. I had an absolute blast with it. In fact I'm absolutely gutted the alpha is over and cannot wait until the beta launches.

It has both single player, team-play and multiplayer elements. If you don't like multiplayer then then you can just ignore it however IMO you'll be missing out on some great matches. There's free roam, story missions (both offline) then (online only) team strikes, raids then the multiplayer PVP. With such a wide variety of game modes it should really appeal to everyone.

I'd give it 7/10 so far based solely on the small slice the alpha provided. It's got a long way to go and need a fair few tweaks but it's certainly peaked my interest.

The random shit in this game is getting a bit much now... see text conversation below

Also graphic wise it really is a POS on PS4. Some pop in and every texture looks like ass until you get within 10 feet of it. Not as good as ACIV and about half as good as InFamous:SS.

It's fun to play though which I suppose is the point. Spent 3 hours just stealing money from random strangers and messing with traffic lights so I've only completed the opening mission.

Just a quick heads up to any survival horror fans in the UK. The May madness sale has the resident evil trilogy for only £5.50. All of which work great downloaded on the Vita with dual analogue controls. Loving me some RE2 right now in fact.

To grab them on your vita just visit your downloads history on the Vita store and grab em from there.

Get the deal online here

Congrats to Nintendo for claiming victory on home turf. Luckily for me I play consoles/handhelds and not numbers.

Put simply IMHO the Vita is twice the handheld the 3DS is. I own a vita with my wife owning a 3DSXL and to be honest I personally think the graphics and much of the software available is laughable on Nintendo's handheld. My wife often says to me "how come your games look really good and mine look like PS2 games?"

I have tried the 3DS many times and we own Zelda (ALBW), Super Mario 3D Land, Luigi's mansion and new Professor Layton and however many times I try I can't get away from the fact that it looks and plays like ass.

Each to his own I guess... I just don't get the appeal of the 3DS at all. I'm sure that's the point though. It's simply not designed for me.

Fantastic decision from Bungie to give Beta access to pre-orders. For £5 you can basically try before you buy for 2 months. It's a no brainer really. If, after 2 months I decide Destiny isn't for me then pre-order cancelled.

My hype is rising slightly but E3 will be the real kicker. Let's hope the mulitplayer lives up to the hype. It's my first Bungie game so let's hope I'm not left disappointed. Roll on July 7th.

The Vita is an absolute joy to play. The OLED screen just makes games pop and with the addition of remote play for the PS4 it's by far the best handheld on the market.

Just a shame that Sony have neglected to actually support the darned thing. I'm playing Child Of Light (Remote play) at the minute and it's breathtaking. If anything it plays better on the Vita than the PS4. That added to P4G and a slew of amazing indie titles make the Vita a must own. It still won't sell well though. Maybe an upcoming PS4 bundle will change it's fortunes.

Oh and once TLOU remastered releases for PS4 my Vita will be in constant use away from home.

You really should play Thomas Was Alone. It blew me away. You'll never look at a coloured rectangle in the same way again.

Age 33 from the UK. None smoker. I enjoy going to the cinema and walks in the rain... Seriously though I'm looking to beef up my friends list ahead of TLOU remastered and Destiny for some fresh multiplayer hijinks.

Any UK based players (due to time constraints, nothing against my US bretheren) then add me PSN: AST2008

Currently playing: PS4: Warframe (very badly), Killzone:SF (like a child) PS3: TLOU Multiplayer.

@Heirren: Hopefully you've sorted this by now. If not then try turning off the ps4 and holding the power button down until it beeps a second time to enter safe mode. then try rebuiding database. that should hopefully sort it for you. Good luck.
