@fastesttcar: the super switch will play your existing pc library at no cost? Or will you need to rebuy all the games you have on PC for it? Can you even rebuy all the games you have on PC for it if you want to?

My point is - it's a different product, despite what is very likely going to be a similar looking form factor. This product is for PC gamers to take their libraries to the couch and on the go. Unless Nintendo changes things DRAMATICALLY, the Switch 2 will actually fail to satisfy that niche at all. Don't get me wrong - I'm a Switch owner and love it. I'm also a Steam Deck owner. They aren't interchangeable

@almightyloaf: I actually played it at launch on pc and had a similarly good experience even then. I experienced zero game breaking bugs, and the more minor bugs I encountered were less numerous or distracting than Skyrim, fallout 3 or NV which for some reason we’re the second coming for some people.

I get that the game was a broken mess for some people, but I loved it. I do think people buy into hype too easily and let themselves get let down, and that’s part of it too (again, not denying it was an objective mess for some people)

Lol, I think it lost its appeal looong ago I'm afraid. But clearly many people still do it

@rohanrocks88: the steam deck isn’t thick at all - what makes it “thick” compared to the switch is entirely the ergonomic handles. Which are substantially more comfortable. By far better to hold and play on than my switch. Thank god for its “thickness”

I have a bunch of these in my lab. Good space savers but they definitely show their age

Very nervous to see where this goes. Could be interesting - but let’s be real, it will sadly probably suck

It’s one of my all time favorite hardware purchases. As someone who has gamed on PC since DOS, this is what I always wanted to see from a handheld in terms of its balance of compatibility, functionality, affordability. I use it all the time both at home and on the road
