10 YEARS!!!! I won't buy this game new. I'll deliberately buy it used because this is utter nonsense if true. They even had an event to show the release date ahahhahahahaha.

@shawty_beatz: A 50 hour rushed campaign (no side stuff and possibly skipping stuff like that) + tons of side stuff yet people are complaining that there are dlc added like the game was cut to pieces to nickle and dime. Honestly people only bitch at it because others are hyped for it and god forbid: someone be happy.

I'm changing my mind on this game.

Square Enix is really doing this game right by delaying it and getting the game stable.

I saw that new trailer with the wild life and am now a big fan of this game again even though I hated the second demo.

My mind keeps going back an forth on this game.

That was a bad player, not a bad game, later it was demo'd on the showfloor through interview and the game look super awesome cuz they had a better person playing.

The game is exceptional, deal with it.

I saw the video and I don't know how much you can do in 2 months to avoid a day 1 patch. SE's record suggests they'll still need a day 1 patch regardless.

10 bloody years and you still need more time? They had an event to ANNOUNCE the release date lol. They trolled us then and then hyped us up YET AGAIN by showing the E3 demo and saying ts coming 30 Sept.

There are better games coming out in the holiday season so it will be interesting to see how it performs but I know myself and my friends are pissed at this announcement because only now were we getting hyped. We're all buying it used. They are not getting the extra revenue from us and I am sure I am not the only one doing this.

Bummer. But then again I have waited for years... I can wait another 2 months.

The only problem with this is that S-E had, and has released since then, tons of other games, movies, media, and etc in development when Final Fantasy Versus XIII started. Its not like they develop one game at a time, just that other things have came out before then. I'm not saying the way they have done it has been correct, just that S-E is a huge company now other than just releasing games. Other than that the delay doesn't brother me. It comes out on my birthday now so I might just take the day off now.

The short movie seems to be getting decent reviews.
The short anime episodes, while nothing special, made me like the boyband gang slightly more. (I too hated them when first revealed, but they aint that bad....).

The delay is alright, im getting use to game delays. As long as its good. would be a nice suprise if the PC version ends up coming to for 29th Nov ;) ... would really prefer to play this on a machine that can actually show it off.

Fact of the matter is that SE is trying to juggle so many projects in tandem despite them proving to everyone that they haven't been able to do so effectively. Technically, this game has been in development for over 10 years, and the process of that development is a fault that falls purely on them and the incompetence that they've been displaying.

I'm even more convinced now this game will not be that good. Has anyone else noticed how when a game is about 1 to 2 months from releasing, then it gets delayed a month or two, the game ends up being underwhelming? FFXV is doing exactly that.

No, but then again we don't know if FF15's combat is shit. Neither demo showed anything particularly bad, hell, if thats all you of played of Kingdom hearts people would say the same thing. In the Witcher... most of the builds barely change at all throughout the game, just buffs upon buffs to pre-existing skills (with FEW exceptions). At least you have 4 main characters and varied guests to work with... and different forms of gameplay (platforming, vehicles, shadow of the collusus style events, monster hunter type beast hunting).

I'm not saying its going to be better than the Witcher (in many respects it will be... fighting, progression, epic moments, monster variety ... simply something most JRPGs do better, even poorer ones.). But FF15 is getting slammed for alot of things that are not even rational.

"Boy band" ... yea, because a generic f*cking white haired guy with a boring voice, a boring personality (I dont care what the books say, the games don't pull it off.) is so much better?

Development time here is moot, are we that s*it as human beings that we can't accept projects being put on hold? what does it matter in the long run?

Why the hell do devs even bother announcing games and release dates when it takes ages for them to come out... thats why usually I dont get excited by announcements, cause I know I wont be playing them for a long, long time.

Remember the Shenmue 3 hype? Yeah... you wont be playing it until 2020 at least...

Like you said, SE is a big company and has many studios thus there should have been a team dedicated to FFXV. And that team is not delivering. It's not like the development of the game has been discarded for the sake of other games when SE have lots of studios.

I don't think it would play very well on a tablet.

I think i'm the only person that really wants to play this game but is actually excited it got delayed. Too many games to play right now, and I didn't want to spend the 279 on the ultimate edition right now since i'm buying a new TV soon :D

@stereointegrity: The duscae demo being a better game than most games that came out this year and it being a demo. Add in the cool bosses we've seen, flying air ships, being able to turn your car into a plane, the quality story (as evidenced by how well the movie reviewed), the length of the game, and everything else, yes, it's one of the best games this year without a doubt alongside stuff like hitman and deus ex mankind divided. (all actually related to squard enix funny enough)

Uncharted 4 might get it but honestly it doesn't deserve it (though as exclusives are concerned it's probably the best made game)

youre basing this all on a demo? and the other things u mention arent even in said demo....the performance alone is gonna break this game. the sub 30 fps was trash the entire demo. i did enjoy the demo but the way it ran was not enjoyable.

I am aware of that but they announced this game back BEFORE the ps4 had even been announced. Then they shifted it to the PS4 and have released demos because they know they have been messing up badly with the single player final fantasies recently. Back in the day, there would never be a need for a demo to convince the public but they are aware of the waning interest in the franchise since FF13.

I would have no problem with the delay if the game has only been in development for 2-3 years. This game has been in development for 7+ years and I am sure there will still be a need for a day 1 patch.

@stereointegrity: I can't base the quality of a game based on a demo (a chunk of the game) that was ALREADY better than most games that came out this year? Also the goal is 30fps.

Got to appreciate that a demo 2 years ago is being judged against what the game is though when the demo is clearly inferior to the game due to stuff like that being fixed later in development.

Just saw the new footage. Game looks like its running pretty well. I think for 2 more months of polish and updates, it will be worth it. Love the modern feel to it too, while adding old elements. I didn't watch to much of it, didn't want to spoil it
