@HalcyonScarlet: That's all Lems have, the "promise" of a future. Good for Lems having a good studio but their fruits are only playable on PS5 atm. By the time this comes to Xbox, it'll be old news and won't move the needle as it'll be on Gamepass. Will be a console seller for PS5 when it matters most. If this game has a sequel not on Sony systems, no guarantee it'll be as good as this one. BTW, Let's not act like MS isn't playing catch up to Sony right now. Playstation has a track record for a reason.
What "promises"? Games are coming now. We've still got Halo Infinite, Forza Horizon 5 and Scorn this year. Next year we should get Forza Motorsport 8, Redfall and Starfield in the least. I think S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 as well.
MS has been making better decisions with Xbox so far this gen. Better BC, cross gen, Gamepass, not raising game costs, easy storage upgrade, buying better studios, more system feature upgrades coming such as Xcloud to the Series consoles and Windows Xbox app this year. And they showed tons more games at E3 then Playstation showed at their show.
The only thing MS is playing catch up to is PS brand power and market share. That's it. In terms of quality hardware, features, services and games, MS is now on course to do very well.
I really don't care what Deathloop does for Sony. The truth is, Arkane have now proven themselves a top tier developer and all their future work will be Xbox console exclusive like next years Redfall. Enjoy this game, you'll never see another Arkane game on Playstation no matter what or how much it sells.
What difference does the platform make? :-S If they can nail the first game, the second is a much easier job. Most of the ideas have been done, they just build on it.

Dishonored has open ended map design, Dishonored has stealth gameplay where you have to assassinate a target, Dishonored had time loop mechanic without the special effect ie: dieing and respawning to an earlier stage in the game -thats all it is, fucking "time loop mechanic" what a joke. The game looks like Dishonored except with the most cringeworthy protagonist and dialogue since Kane&Lynch.

But what essentially happened is that he used to be user sniper4321. He eventually was idiotic enough here to get himself almost banned, which is a tall order, and so he saw the writing on the wall and suicided his account by sending a bunch of us graphic homosexual pornographic images via DM. I don't care that it was gay, that's someone's choice. But it is offensive, and uncalled for. I catch a lot of crap for responding to him the way I do, buuuuut that's the reason why, fyi.

You literally said Dishonored isnt an FPS and it is in the same post.. Dishonored IS FPS and Dishonored has respawn at checkpoint like Deathloops "time loop" does.
Glad for Arcane getting some recognition. Microsoft has a proven serious talent now. When the industry jurnos start giving props and these deals with sony end oooh. MS resurgence is coming.
Since it's a loop like groundhog day, does that mean you are going to keep going over the same level, over and over again? I mean I get it, you may open up new areas, but it sounds like you might be repeating many parts of the level 10, 20, 30 times, I hope this isn't the cause. Sounds like it could get boring and repetitive.
Ha! goofy situation, a Microsoft game with a timed exclusive for playstation. Gets a 10/10. You know what's cool too, MS is only charging $60 for cows to play instead of $70 I know cows wish they could pay $70 instead but $60 will have to do . People on Xbox gotta wait a year for it to hit gamepass. PC people can play it whenever, most will wait for a discount lol
