Fallout show getting great reviews!

First the Last of Us was a hit, and now it looks like we’ll have another good video game adaptation. Will you be checking out the Fallout season premiere, SW? I’ll probably check out the first episode.

Gonna start tomorrow and see. TBH, not seen anything on the show prior.

I have said it before and I will say it again.

TV shows seem to be a much more successful format than movies are for video games. The pacing simply put works much better for a tv show format.

Arcane, CastleVania, TLOU and now Fallout.

Same was said of TLOU. Was awful. Vidya makes for awful TV.

I don't watch TV, pretty much at all... But I'm pretty excited to watch this show! I don't have really high expectations other than seeing how they make fallouts world come to life.

I watched it for 6 minutes before getting bored. Nonstop conjectures and personal feelings. Nothing concrete whatsoever.

The guy who made the video is not worth listening to. And the video only concerned Borderlands, a game franchise that was the victim of flanderization. Not whatever you imagine it to be.

Your video made nothing but asinine points. Such as complaining about a game made in LA has LA culture. What a pathetic display of media literacy there. The video was bad, and you should feel bad for citing it.

But to give an example of what I mean, besides it being in every single Marvel movie, here is the exact same thing in the Borderlands trailer:

But it's Bethesda era Fallout. Unless it's New Vegas (aka the Sonic Mania of Fallout), none of that matters to the FO fandom.

I've watched a couple of episodes. It's actually not bad, and I'm saying that as someone who hates Bethesda's interpretation of the setting.

It's pulpy and doesn't attempt to be wildly intellectual, but there's something to it. The lead actress does a good job selling naive earnestness, and Walton Goggins is always great as a gunslinging villain.

Just finished the first episode. It was unexpectedly good.

I really like how they have faith in the series, and I say that because the whole first episode is spent developing characters and lore for proper context in later episodes. It didn't feel rushed like Halo first few episodes.

The writing was also really good,

Episodes are an hour long so Ill have to watch the second later tonight but I'm really looking forward to it.

Also, great casting choices so far.

Managed to get half an episode in over lunch, honestly surprisingly entertaining, but from what I've seen Walton Goggins will likely steal every scene he's in. Also sound effects etc of things like stimpacks appear to be lifted directly out of the games.

Definitely agree.

There's a ton of moments of absolute fanservice in the game. Even the design of the stimpaks made me smile. Was a little upset by the gun she used in the beginning, should've been the Fallout 4 pistol for sure.

Ill definitely check it out only fallout game I've really played is new Vegas might try out fallout 4 after watching the series.

I watched the first 5 episodes and I am really enjoying it. It kinda is strange what they did with the Ghouls.

Watched 2 episodes. Really liking it so far. With Fallout, TLOU , Twisted Metal, and Gran Turismo, it seems the videogame movie adaptation curse has been broken! Except Halo... That show is sooo bad 🤢🤮

Not sure if he is gonna stream the whole season, but it looks like he is streaming it now on twitch.

Watched the first episode. Kind of have mixed feelings about it. The beginning started off interesting and then things picked up too quickly. On a positive note, it felt very authentic to the game. Will watch the next episode.
