As Fedor & Conan said, this whole deal got boring really quick, and how it got so much attention is beyond me. Anyway, I don't care who wins this, I want this deal to be done with so we can move on to bigger stuff.

Pettiness of GameSpot's fanboy reviews? In all honesty, curious why GameSpot was singled out here. Seems any anti-Xbox bias is across the board, and more a result of most gaming journalists taking their talking points from NeoGAF for the better part of a decade that it operated as a Sony fanboy safespace.

Gamespot is even the least anti-Xbox gaming site compared to many others out there IMO.

The only thing I will find interesting about this is if Sony has to reveal the details of hundreds of exclusives third-party moneyhatting deals they've done in the last 5yrs due to the subpeona MS filed to see in court.

Well, fwiw, I thought that was the whole point of stickies anyway - to prevent threads with legs from getting lost.

That's the idea, but the truth is, they typically become forgotten threads by most users on a forum.

When we had a floating screenshot thread, got posts all the time for years, from a variety of users.

Discussed it with Xantu when the sticky was made, he agreed. But then it was like ok, we'll just experiment and see how it goes.

Clearly didn't go so well lol. Less than 700 posts in two years. Previous thread got nearly 3000 posts in a similar amount of time.

I say this as a fan of their consoles, then why are you still in the console race by that logic, Phil?

They really did. The FTC doesn’t seem to understand why they are blocking this deal. They tried to argue that a Windows license was required to stream PC games ffs. But this is what happens when you let regulators and politicians get involved with tech and entertainment.

And then there’s Xbox. More “yikes” moments about their standing in the industry. But these moments make the FTC position look even more aimless.

@ghostofgolden: We do know MS are playing up the doom & gloom market position to get the deal through.

I want to see details of Sony's exclusivity deals from the last 5yrs from that MS subpoena. That's when things should get juicy.

Bad first day for FTC, if their evidence gets weaker from here curious if MS will have room to motion for a summary judgement to dismiss the administrative hearing on a lack of compelling evidence to try the case.

This is really a Hail Mary by FTC and they *do not* want to be there right now. They just got wind that MS was going to just close over them and the CMA and panicked and played their last stand card...try to get a federal judge to block closing until after the deal expires. So stupid, and the problem (FTC and Sony) is federal judges are not fools.

But the worst offender is Jim Ryan's E-Mail account is damning at best.

How can anyone be a fan of Sony after all the crap they have done to hold back to the gaming industry?
