Is Switch better than PC for most games?

I find myself playing multiplats on Switch because I love the portability. Sitting in front of my computer after sitting in front of my computer for long hours at work is just not that appealing to me lol. Yea, I guess I can hook it up to a TV, but then I can't enjoy the TV while playing my game haha. Switch affords this opportunity. And most games on PC don't really require fancy hardware to run. You can run most games on Switch (at lower spec of course) but still enjoy them. So what say you, SW? Is Switch better than PC for most games?

No. There is a certain appeal to play some games on Switch though instead of a more powerful platform. I don’t know why. For example, NFS Hot Pursuit.

PC allows me to play keyboard and mouse or behind the TV with my controller. It's the most flexible way of playing.

Switch is cool too, but anyone replacing their gaming PC with a Switch is out of their mind.

No, there's been nothing good on the telly for years over here in the UK. Plenty of good stuff on Netflix and Prime though.

Just like to have some background when playing Forza or Warzone etc. Sometimes it's a TV show like The Office or a podcast, which at the moment it's From the Oasthouse with Alan Partridge

Honestly don’t know if it because my switch is getting old or something, but the battery suck on it now... hardly lasts an hour in portable mode!

@SolidGame_basic: It depends on what you mean by "better". In terms of graphics and performance? Ha ha! No, the Switch's hardware is vastly inferior to even a low-end PC. In terms of flexibility and portability? Yes, the Switch dominates in this department with multiple configurations allowing for handheld, tabletop, and big screen play as well as ease of same-system multiplayer.

That said, I do prefer playing my Switch to playing on my PC.

I don't know enough about GPD Win to answer that.

If playing multiplats portably is the only reason you want a Switch, and GPD Win is cheaper, more comfortable to hold, has a better battery, better screen and is easy to use? Yeah, I'd probably call Switch irrelevant for that person.

I don't think I have heard a single soul say Switch is best for multiplat games. I have a Switch that mostly collects dust and don't own a single game not Nintendo owned. The Xbox One VCR is better at multiplats than the Switch and of course my PC is better too.

Even for old and/or 2D titles I might like to have on the go (like the megaman zero/ZX collection) I ended up buying on PC instead, because of those awful joycon controllers. I could buy a switch pro controller I suppose and see how well that works with 2D platformers, but then it’s no longer so portable and I already have a PC controller with a wonderful d-pad (the Logitech F310). That’s another thing, I’ve got 360, xbone, and ps4 controllers in addition to M+K and can just choose from whichever feels the best for the particular game. Switch has much more limited (and expensive) control options.

Quite the opposite, the Switch being and underclocked tablet with nightmarish handheld ergonomics.

I prefer all the benefits a PC offers. Even if I ever become one of these "gaming on the go" dudes, probably just get a laptop.

If I really needed a handheld, would roll with one of Nintendos previous systems. Given the Switch' size and me needing to use Hori joycons for that shit to be even remotely comfy, end up holding a brick anyways.

Switch is more convenient than PC. But PC offers the best gaming experience.
