Holy crap, I knew it was going to be bad, but reading that list out... I bet MS/Team XBone is in full bat crazy battle stations what do we do now mode! They have got nothing and its a little sad just how bad MS screwed this up. It seemed like a shoe in that they would win March. Titanfall is everywhere, I wouldn't be surprised if they spent more on marketing than the game. The bundle made the XBone *cheaper* than the PS4 if you wanted Titanfall too. Its game over if they don't drop the price to $399 at least. Maybe also give Forza away too as a download code.

XBone's GOTY and a lower price couldn't put them over the PS4 and now they have nothing.

Tough day for Lems. Just wait until smaller devs with smaller budgets all go with the clear sells leader. 2015 will only get worse for MS.

I haven't made a pie chart in a long time, but they were about what matters anyways: quality games. I play games, not sales.

M$ hyped the hell out of Titanfall since E3 last year, lems proclaimed it as the second coming, M$ bundled it for free, and several retailers did $50 unofficial price drops and yet they couldn't beat PS4. How embarrassing lol.

Maybe, if we're lucky, E3 will bring people back. As dull as SW has become, E3 is always a fanboy train wreck worth watching and this board has always been the best place to do just that.

You were right @blackace, lems are in full damage control and butthurt with the report that the juggernaut PS4 beat the Xbone in sales for the month of March even with TitanFall. Sad times indeed.

I do not think you know what "obsession" means.

Titanfall should have been a true Xbox One exclusive, not fake "Microsoft exclusive".

It should also have been out at launch.

Also, the Xbox One should not exist.

LOL, Titanfall fails MS. Even with a $450 bundle only manages a sad 52,000 unit increase in sales from the previous month.

If only MS followed SONY's example of the by gamers for gamers mantra. Instead, MS tried to change the industry on their own.

I know Titanfall was bundled and all, but you guys don't have to make it look like it is the games fault lol. It was the #1 seller of march lol. Anyway, this thread didn't blow up like I hoped. Kinda disappointing. Maybe people are finally starting to realize its more about the games than system sales.

I think the real embarrasing part is the fact that xbox one hasnt even hit 5 million sold world wide to consumers (MS announced 5 million sold to retailers). I guess they are around 4.2-4.7 million or so? Didnt they announce 3 million sold to consumers and 3.9 million shipped back in late december/early january? Kinda surprising.....

Now that the war is over when did MS lose this Gen? Most might say E3 last year. I would go with an E3 many years ago when the Wii was first shown. MS saw dollar signs and decided to make the kinect(LOL) forcing them to cut all other parts of the Xbone.

Poor soul. I don't get these people. You know the npd numbers are coming, you know your feed is going to get cluttered. Why not just disable notifications, or simply ignore it for the next couple of hours until things calm down.

I was pretty convinced that Xbox One would take March NPD, but, nope. Titanfall wasn't a system seller, the gap isn't narrowing, and the Xbone is nailed into second place for the remainder of the generation.

If you're a die-hard Xbox One fan you may want to seriously reconsider at this point, unless you really like rooting for the less powerful, slower-selling underdog for the rest of the generation.

I think it was the XBO reveal and maybe even before then, when we seen all those "leaked" notes and pictures.

But E3, really put the nail in the coffin for them. They should have just held XBO back a year and took out Kinect and put more beefed up HW in the system... With backwards compact. They would have been good. But no... They wasted so much money on Kinect and a new controller that is worse then the old besides for the D-pad and battery bump. That they felt compelled to release.

They will be playing catch up for a long time... They still haven't gotten the clue about Kinect yet.

The only chance they have now is with the new halo game (halo 5 is it?) it would seem.....

Well, MS, it is time to go into full on disaster control mode. Unpack that Kinect and sharply cut the price, or you can kiss any hope of being competitive this gen out, and frankly, even with that it is starting to look like they might still fall behind.

Well...Titanfall and an unofficial $50 price cut failed to knock the PS4 down and the only game that we know is coming that could potentially cause the Xbone to win a month is Halo 5. Too bad that's probably not until 2015.

MS really needs to have a hefty, official price cut really soon.
