The 360 was 299 and 399 the PS3 as 499 and 599 how in the hell is that 300 dollars cheaper?

Price and bad press are most definitely factors kid. It's not because of the software since you just admitted it yourself. Last time I checked games is the SOLE reason to own a console.

So combined PS3/PS4 numbers are 438,000 compared to combined 360/Xbone numbers of 422,000. PlayStation family wins once again.

I'm surprised Sony came out on top even with TitanFall out. I can't see MS catching up anymore this year unless they get a few official price drops going or PS4's start to brick on people.

Anyway it's fantastic news all round as Sony comes out on top and MS may actually get rid of kinect, and with a massive price drop as well I'll probably end up picking one up. Everyone's a winner.

The clear winner of March is Titanfall. Even if all those bundle ads didn't help move a lot more consoles, it helped move the game. With that said, I think the price difference between the two consoles are making a big impact. Personally, I've decided to go with the PS4 this gen, not because of popularity. Simply because its cheaper and the best bang for your buck.

Can't do nothing but give props to the PS4 and eat the crow as I thought the One would outsell the PS4 in March. Titanfall is a great game and sold great, so can't ask Respawn for more than that. The One is being outsold by the PS4 even as it sold damn well in the month of March. I still feel the price drop for parity or even cheaper is inevitable now. SW as always, ups and downs depending on the day and new news. Lems took it on the chin yesterday, lol. Nothing but respect to Sony and the PS4 as their first 5 months are just outrageous. Whats funny is that if the PS4 hadn't sold so damn well, the One moving likely 4.4 million units in 13 countries at 499 for all but 4 weeks is pretty damn impressive in its own right. One game can never save or doom a console, and TF has helped even as it didn't do what MS thought it would for month number one. Still a great pickup for the One and will help move units as its DLC and new game modes arrives. But again, the taste of Crow sucks, lol. PS4 won despite it all. E3 is going to be a fucking war, I can't wait.

I wonder if lemmings are aware that in the US the console market is more like 47/53.

You can scour through my posts if you'd like, but I have said many times that I don't think the XB1 will have a "winning" month until late this year. The PS4 sold more. Great for Sony. But, the numbers this month were still good, not bad , for Microsoft.

It's unrealistic to think that MS will be able to outsell the PS4 until there are compelling reasons. The PS4 has it on price and resolution. One game is not compelling enough to counter balance that. Regardless, the XB1 still had a good sales month.

They weren't bad but they got beaten in month that even we cows thought that Microsoft had packed down. Might as well accept that 2nd place title. When will the Xbox brand ever experience greatness? And by greatness, I mean have the top selling console of the gen. Sony saw it with the PS1 and PS2. Nintendo saw it with the Wii, and Microsoft? Middle man

When retailers do price cuts under the retail price is to clear stocks,those price cuts are endorse by MS which give them a credit,is very obvious because if i am selling something and is not selling,and i have to cut winning or sell it at a loss,i will not buy huge quantities of that product again is busyness 101.

So retailers ask MS for a credit so they can sell units under the price,MS agree and they move those units and buy new ones and MS not only with its fiscal year numbers but also with public perception (fanboys like you).

The xbox one manage to sold on March 53k more than February NPD when Titanfall wasn't here,oh should i add that March has 31 days of sales while February has only 28.?

So if we take away 3 more days on those march says it would probably be even lower what the xbox one sold in March over February..

Is time for you people to admit it Titanfall failed at both retailers and to sell consoles,MS sold 1.4 million games on March,on NPD that means Titanfall sold less than 1 million in US which is MS biggest territory.

TitanFall did sell XB1s. It was the #1 selling software title on a platform that is in 2nd place. It beat Infamous SS. Obviously, people have XB1's to play TitanFall. Isn't that the definition of "system seller"?

The XB1 had a good March - I really don't understand all the hate going on right now. Did it outsell the PS4? No, it did not. But, it still had a good month.

TitanFall sold more than Infamous: Second Son, and it was on the lesser selling console. So, obviously, people bought XB1s to play Titan Fall. Is that not the definition of a system seller? Exactly how many copies do you think it should have sold? There are only 5 million XB1s out there - 1 million is a pretty high attach rate.

BUT, March was the month were Titanfall released, and as you see ,even one of the most hyped games ever can't help Xbone to sell more units than PS4.

If Titanfall can't save the Xbone no game will.
