@Mozelleple112: Man, I'm not really sure, but I would say that of the games listed Dragons Dogma 2 is my most anticipated.
Personally my game of the year so far (to this point) is ironically Granblue Fantasy Relink which was a very surprisingly excellent game that game review sites didn't get I guess. Most sites said the game was between 9 and 15 hours which isn't even close, but that is the level of game journalist that we unfortunately see these days. To see that game bouncing between a 79 and 80 is ridiculous and it easily rivals the best in genre..
I sit in a position these days after my retirement where it's fun for me to get a wide variety of games spanning many different genres and decide for myself, although I understand that isn't a convenience a lot of people have, and its easier for those with limited time and resources to only purchase and play the few blockbuster AAA games that are widely recommended and advertised for, and quite possibly may suit the weekend gamers. Although it's good seeing a game like BG3 have a lot of media and people take note of it, it was the name behind it that drove the hype to begin with. Let's not pretend as though Divinity 2 wasnt as good or even better, but it didn't have the mass appeal or critical acclaim.
My most anticipated games for 2024 that haven't released yet and that I'm very likely to get on day 1 (or shortly after) are.
Dragons Dogma 2, Rise of the Ronin, Avowed, Path of Exile 2, X Defiant, Blue Protocol, Throne and Liberty, Ashes of Creation, Unicorn Overlord, The Inquisitor, Metaphor Fantazio, Visions of Mana, Corepunk, and the list goes on..
The problem is there are a lot of tentative games, unannounced games, and games that have already been pushed back that include games like:
Archeage 2, Ark 2, Chrono Oddysey, Contra Operation Galuga, Killing Floor 3, Lost Eidelons Veil of the Witch, Marathon, Staw Wars Outlaws, and the list goes on and on.
My point is that with nearly 11 months left in the year and we don't even know some of the lineup that I will personally need to play more and come up with my own list. I play a LOT of games, and its a shame to see some fly under the radar or see them over.ooked when others that aren't as good get all the credit... often times before they even release.
