Great start for MS on bringing 1st party to PC. Granted, I should be content that it's even available. Yet, I can't help but want to post NotLikeThis.gif
Can't find any in-depth details on the J5190 Samsung is offering, but assuming it's not vastly different from either the J5000 or J52000 series, it's not the best choice for console gaming. Motion blur and input lag are both very mediocre. Granted, you are getting a 58" HDTV for roughly $500, which is hard to top. But there's a reason you're getting it for that price (i.e. there are better to be had).
Why is Sony completely inept when it comes to making fashionable designs for their controllers/consoles (a small number of exceptions notwithstanding)? MS' designs completely murder everything Sony puts out.
Still struggling with the premise of the narrative. The Sea God invading Ivalice? Not really feeling the idea. Also, Ashe and Basch love interest? Very speculative of how that would turn out.
FFXII was certainly a universe primed for additional elucidation.
Very interesting read. Will certainly look forward to parts II and III.
Wholly on principle, I think S-E is wise to allow a Western Studio a shot at making a mainline FF game. Many of the franchise's criticisms have largely stemmed from adopting a stronger Japanese influence, which have worked for it and against it in a number of ways (the FFXIII trio, in particular). Internally Square has been in bad shape ever since FFXII and new blood could serve an aged property quite well. Plus, the title Valiant Saga is badass.
Every now and then S-E shows signs of getting it. FF has one of the most prestigious legacies in all of gaming and I'm disheartened to know that Fortress wasn't allowed to come to fruition (granted, what I know of the project stems wholly from this article). Maybe one day.
