@astrokidwell: Of course I'm fine with companies releasing new characters for certain games or DLC if they've made a complete base game and use it the same way as the old expansion packs I used to buy. That said sometimes I like going back to games I've played before and having them remain exactly the same like you did with Castlevania.

I don't really understand the whole "unlocking" culture or why it would be fun to not have everything available when you first buy the game. It is like buying Overwatch and only having 1 character until you do certain things in the game unless you pay real money for more characters? Or buying the Witcher 3 and not having access to potions unless you kill a certain number of monsters? Seems like a huge annoyance to me.

@Barighm: The thing is I don't really care about aesthetics and just play the game for a few minutes when I want to unwind after a tough day or on the weekends.

Really hope they ban loot boxes! I've been playing overwatch off and on for years and haven't opened a single one. Anything that gives you game improvement items is clearly a disaster. My feeling is when you buy a game you buy the game. Period. Why should you have to spend more money on items?

A new Jedi Outcast game?

Here's what I want to do. Buy a game and play it against my brother over the LAN, just like I can play games against him and my friends like like I can in console games. With all these CD checks and copy protection I can only run one game at a time, so that led me to find no cd hacks and pirate games I already bought. Do they really think people are going to buy a copy of the game for each person in the house who wants to play? I bet a lot of the people downloading games are doing it so they can play against their friends in their house or just for convenience. Its much easier to not have to keep putting CDs in and out of the PC so you can play whatever game you want when you want.

The PC is a far superior gaming platform and is not exactly complicated to use. You install the game, then run it. You can also get mods that are not avaliable on the consoles. For any fps the keyboard and mouse is much easier to use than the gamepad. I don't understand though why the Xbox outperforms the PS3. I bought a PS3 for games like mortal kombat and I thought by now games would take advantage of its supposed superior hardware to the Xbox

Why don't these cards have HDMI out? Its such a pain to get a DVI to HDMI adapter and then a separate cable for sound.

When is the Geforce 9 series coming out? The prices of these cards have come down, but they're all based on technology that's almost a year old. I'd like to see something that's really amazing come out.

I see that ATI has their new Radeon card out. How do you think it will handle games like Crysis? SecT01D, I can run the game on my laptop (Pentium M 1.8, 2 GB RAM, Geforce Go 7800). If there aren't a lot of guys on the screen I can run it on medium, but if there are explosions or a lot of actions it turns into a slide show. I can run it pretty well with most settings on low and 1 or 2 on medium.
