A little bit, yes. However, I don't recall Splinter Cell having a lot of real competition at the time of release, in terms of stealth games. I mean sure there was Metal Gear Solid but that is a game about giant mechs and superpowers. Splinter Cell isn't quite like that, you know? I mean it was meant to be kind of realistic!

That being said, the games were serviceable. My favorite was Pandora Tommorow where Tom Clancy finally came up with a plot twist.

Had Splinter Cell on Gamecube and Pandora Tomorrow on PS2. Why the hell is Pandora Tomorrow not on Steam and GOG?

Heh, beats me. I did have all 4 Splinter Cell games that came out for GameCube years ago, but I sold them. It would be nice to play through Pandora Tommorow again, but I don't think it's even for sale on the Xbox store. I guess if you have a PS3 you could always get that Splinter Cell HD collection or whatever it is.

@Sam3231: It was recently featured in a Humble Bundle. So, you can get keys for super cheap on the key sites.

Looks like you can get it for a few bucks, not bad. I just have too much to play as is though otherwise I would swoop it up.

@BassMan: I probably would. I put it on my Steam wish list for the next Steam sale.

I beat Ion Fury: Aftershock (DLC) a few days ago. It's pretty cool, retro-like, reminds me of some of the games I played growing up like Doom and Duke Nukem. I probably won't play through it again though. Each level is kind of repetitive and it's not very creative outside of the fact that you are basically just "Doom girl".

That being said it's still better than most games. 8/10.

I just finished Aftershock, was good. Has anyone even played Phantom Fury? I was going to get it but then I saw some of the player reviews.

To be fair I haven't played many of them outside of Elden Ring. But I don't know what people see in them. They don't excite me the same way other genres do, like racing, shooters etc.

The controls of these games generally feel clunky. Are Souls games more tactical though? Probably. But I prefer a good Michael Bay inspired action set over a calculated chess game against the computer.

BF3 is kind of dead, but it's the last one I really enjoyed. Plus dat campaign.

I find it unlikely but not totally against it, as an Xbox fan. Seeing Halo, Forza and Gears are known for their multiplayer component, more players is not a bad thing.

It's not a deal breaker but boy does it suck.

Consoles have to get away from the trend of targeting ridiculous resolutions and sacrifice them for frames if necessary. I would take a 720p game at 60FPS before a 4K game at 30fps.

In the case of Paper Mario, it's probably not that big of a deal but I'm referring to multiplayer and other difficult games where in most cases responsiveness and smoothness should take precedence over detail.
