Looks good for a multiplayer, hardly graphics king tho. I expect SP to be better.

It destroys everything on consoles though.

How so? In what aspect of the graphics? And open world game like Horizon has bigger scale, more effects on screen, better lighting and higher quality assets like groups of half million poly thundermaw roamig around. I'll give you 60fps and 1440p tho, but that's something Neo can make up for at least 1080/60.

QB and Ryse shots are from cutscenes and they are higher quality than the ingame shots.

Check yourself before you wreck yourself.

You know on second thought, despite that Ryse shot is real time it doesn't mean it's gameplay quality. It's much like UC4's real time cutscene, the lighting and shader are slightly better. Unlike God of War, Until Dawn or Detroit, the cutscene and gameplay quality lighting and shader are all the same, thus applicable here.

It's been three years since the gen started and by now we have plenty examples of awesome looking character models rendered real time during gameplay. Current gen is all about reaching seamless transition between gameplay and cutscene, yes some did come very close despite having slightly better cutscene lighting and shaders. Here we find out which game has the best looking gameplay character model so naturally cutscene model is excluded, but if the cutscene model is the same quality as its gameplay counterpart then you can still post it.

Important note! Please post them in their best case scenario if possible, the last thing we want is meaningless shots from awkward angles, bad lighting condition or far away distance. We want to see them in the best light to fully appreciate the art work and technology. So everybody must be fair. Yes Photomode is also allowed for close up zoom in.

1. God Of War

Absolutely impeccable character model, everything from the mesh density (almost tessellated feel), muscle deformation, hair rendering, cloth physics, consistent high res textures throughout, accurate PBR shaders to the fluent animation, the Kratos model is the best I've seen. Approaching older CGI character even. The lighting and shader are also kept 1:1 consistency from cutscene to gameplay as the entire game is played in one continuous shot with no cuts.

2. Detroit Become Human

Models look very close to CGI period, high quality shaders, lighting, high res texture are everywhere, seamless between cutscene and gameplay.

3. Until Dawn and Uncharted 4

How exactly do cows get desperate when PS4 is 40M+ sold lol? Neo no matter how powerful it is, would simply be the icing on the cake. You do realize PS5 is right around the corner when Scorpio releases right?

@gpuking: That wouldn't make sense since, you know, MS Scorpio is supposed to release well after NEO. Seriously, why would Sony try to "ruse" MS into revealing Scorpio specs when they could easily change them after NEO is released?

Only problem is MS has absolutely no idea when Sony is gonna announce Neo's specs and they're not about to be like sitting ducks waiting indefinitely for it. MS have their own plan and if Scorpio with its current specs is to be launched on target then it will need to follow the set schedules, milestones etc. Of course, unless they plan to delay the launch and lose more market share to Sony.
