Just got done watching Shogun, it really surpass my expectation as some are saying its the Game of Thrones killer, its far from that. It's sad I haven't seen anyone here on Gamespot talk about Shogun...not even in OT. Shogun is so amazing because it plays with the audience's expectations and values as western viewers.

Edit: Never watch the 80s version so not gonna bother seeing it.

I wanted to see it for at least a month, but didn't get to it as of yet. It looks really good.

It is. Definitely worth the time.

@uninspiredcup: Yup. From Dusk til Dawn: The Series was on the cable channel El Rey; when the channel ceased operations, it became a free streaming channel.

@davillain: Didn't they just drop some money to buy Gearbox from Embracer, or did I misread that?

@uninspiredcup: I can't comment on his return to wrestling, as I haven't watched since the late '90s, but it seems a better fit for him. He feeds off that live energy from the fans, and he can't get that in film performances.

Probably just as well--he's been acting for over 20 years, made mad money and all that, but honestly, I can't remember a single role from him. I know the film titles, but can't recall his performances.

Wasn't this the same guy who was also going to change the hierarchy of the DC Cinematic Universe?

Looks like they're delaying it's release. It's being pushed out from It's prime summer release date to the August dumping ground.

It's original opening weekend had it going up against Bad Boys: Ride or Die. No way it would've survived its opening against that.

Jason Mamoa dodged a bullet by not being cast in this. Feels more like a lower rent supernatural version of John Wick than anything remotely close to the original source material--either the comic or the original film.

Not an unholy abomination some people are making it out to be, just something that looks to be forgettable when it comes out.

@mrbojangles25: Sony has to release a Spider-Man film (or film that ties in with the Spider-Man universe) every certain number of years, if not, the film rights revert back to Marvel. That's why you have films like Venom (which is understandable), and dreck like Madame Webb, Morbius and likely Kraven as well.

Sony knows this is gonna be a dud, but I don't think they even care; they just needed something to put in production. Why else would you hire the screenwriters behind Morbius, The Last Witch Hunter, and Gods of Egypt for this?
