Oh no doubt, the selection is way better and the taste isn't as "casual" but the elitism in the "le, funny pcmasterrace" community makes me cringe so hard. Congrats, you take gaming more seriously to the point where society laughs at you. Nice. We're all gamers, but I don't get why someone wants to tell someone else how much more intensely they take the hobby.

At first, I supported the decision on these forums, but after realizing the royalties and just how fucking poorly it was being utilized, this is by far the biggest **** up I've ever witnessed. What the **** were Valve thinking.
"Let's charge for something that has been free for 20 years AND take 75% royalty while ignoring any possibility of backlash!"

Why should the mod I spent hundreds of hours working on be given away for free when I can charge 2 FREAKING DOLLARS from it and make a couple grand for my hard work.
Modders aren't publishers dude. They do it as a hobby and service to the community, quite being such a whiny snob. You're not above it dude.
Why do some of you console gamers have a chip on your shoulder where you constantly have to post screens of games that everyone forgot about every few weeks to let us know: "Look guys, we have great graphics too!". Good for you. You do have good graphics. So? That's not going to make anyone without a PS4 want to go out and buy one...
You know, most content creators already said they're giving the mods away for free. Why do some gamers act so entitled to the point it's cringy. First with the whole "EA DOESN'T CARE ABOUT ME" thing and now this?
You're telling me that a modder should work hundreds if not thousands of hours on creating a whole new world within the Skyrim universe and if he makes you spend a single dollar on it, he's a cash grabbing, immoral, evil person?
This let's modders profit for their work and allows making games mod accessible way more likely as developers can actually profit from them too.
