Microsoft purposely gimped PC in the past because they want to isolate it from console sales. They wanted to grow the Xbox franchise and PC would just slow down that growth. Now, what they're doing marks a clear shift. It makes way more sense to assume that they're doing this because they recognize PC will give them better sales compared to Xbox than to assume they're doing this out of their kind hearts for PC gamers.

Although Steam Link is something I'm definitely getting. It'll completely destroy the "game in your living room" argument.

Why is this a thing. I still don't understand. If I'm spending over 600 on a platform and have to do all this research to pick the ideal machine, why don't I just build my own PC and get something double the power for the same price.
