Pixel density geometry is not wise for AMD GPUs e.g. refer to Crysis 2 PC's excessive tesslation debacle.
Yeah also UE has been a killer when it comes to resolution scaling this gen. but I think the resolution craze has left people forgetting about fidelity. The fidelity is worth more in that tech demo at 1440p than a normal UE game at native 4k. Folks needs to temper there exceptions when it comes to ray tracing with these consoles.
It's a balance between fidelity details and performance.
Epic has shown
1. UE5 demo that gimped PS5 into mostly 1440p and 30 hz with artwork from Quixel Megascans and hyped up heavy mesh shader demo.
2. PS5 has a high-end single SSD solution with non-high-end compute processing hardware.
I guessed UE5 demo's artwork from Quixel Megascans since I have seen the art style prior to UE5 demo.
