Sure, I type a long message in Notepad and I can't even paste it.  Very annoying and I'll leave this site for a while until it's fixed....

The number of pixels is actually almost 5 times as much (4.93827... to be more precise - 6400 versus 1296).  You can use The GIMP and save JPG quality 90 for the 80x80 images and still likely be within the 20 KB limit.  For animated GIFs, you can still have many frames (and depending on color count and complexity, it can range from 20 frames to even 100 or more.  Mine is 24 frames and 11KB in size but is 80x60 instead.  It's surprising just how much you can get into a single image.  In fact, even uncompressed, you can fit a 24-bit 80x80 image into the 20KB file size allotment (it would be 19254 bytes as a BMP image).

The only time you would have trouble is if the image is larger than 80x80 such as 400x300, but even JPG quality 80 can get some of these within 20 KB.  If the 20 KB file size limit is an issue, try hosting it at imageshack or photobucket.  It's strongly recommended that you shrink (scale) your image down to something with 80 as the largest dimension.

This would often require the use of IE (from ActiveX) and some users wouldn't bother doing this and sometimes they feel a security risk for it.  In some cases, you could still ask here if you're unsure.  In some ways, it may be okay, but in others, it's not.  I'd lean toward both sides - implementing and not implementing.

I'm also getting this, but I don't see the "there were errors on this page" message.  It just says "Done" in the bottom left.  I use Firefox for this.  If I recall correctly, that was an internet explorer feature and if you double-click it, details about it would come up.  In Firefox, there's there error console in the tools menu.

I was trying to upload a video of my run at the Lete River event in FF6 which is just shy of 8 minutes and 21.7 MB in size - within the limits for free users.

It should only be an optional thing, like a sig or basic description of yourself.  I'm just curious to know what many of them are since 90% of them I don't recognize what they are of.  Not everyone has to describe their avatar, they can do it if they feel like it (I certainly wouldn't mind adding a few details about it).

There are no stuck keys.  If control+left works, shift+left works, and control+shift+left doesn't, there's no way it can be a stuck key.  I can press the C key and control+A just fine without any defects, but control+C causes the case to beep.  This is the weird thing about it - why should the case even be beeping in the first place?

Starting yesterday, this just suddenly happened.  Some keyboard shortcuts like control+C and control+V suddenly no longer work.  The most common of which is control+shift+arrows to highlight text by word or paragraph.  Control+shift+left highlights the text from the cursor position to the start of the word and is the most commonly used.  When I use it, I get a beep sound coming from the case (sort of like the POST, only around 300 Hz instead of 600 Hz (the pitch)) and it happens every time.  I can use control+A to select everything, shift+left to highlight the character to the left of the cursor, and control+left to move the cursor to the start of the word the cursor is in just fine, but not control+C, or control+shift+left.  It's happening with Firefox, Notepad, Wordpad, MSPaint, everything and it's very annoying.  I hate having to use the mouse to highlight text as using the keyboard is often 2 or 3 times faster for small bits.  The clipboard is not problematic either as I can right-click on selected text and choose copy, then use the edit menu to paste it and that works without problems.

What is causing this?  The beep coming from within the case itself (I can hear it even with my speakers turned off (and volume set to the lowest possible) so I know for sure it's coming from the case) when I do so and just yesterday, it didn't happen.  I was processing a video as I've done numerous times before (and never had this happen) and some time during this process, it just happened.

I'm getting this too.  I just tried one for FF6 and it's 21.7 MB in size and just shy of 8 minutes.

This has been suggested before and I see a potential monster of a downside to it:  the system wars board.  A user could post something about system X being better than Y and the user who craves for anything of system Y would rate the thread as one-star.  Those for system Z would do the same - one-star rating.  Those of system X, however, would rate it 5 stars.  This fanboyism would cause a lot of meaningless 1 to 3-star ratings.  The "off topic" forum is about the only one that could actually be okay with this sort of thing, but then again, there's some users who, just for the fun of it, go around rating everything 1-star.

In short, I strongly disagree with adding this feature.

I don't know what most of the avatars used here are of.  I still don't, even with the larger ones.  I'm thinking that there could be a section added to the profile that explains what the avatar is of, with a 300-character maximum.  This message has 300 characters for comparison, the limit suggested.
