You are acting like enlarging an avatar is hard. If you can't adjust the size of the image, then re-make it, simple. It's not a hard process. LTomlinson21

That's easy when it's a single still image, but when it's an animated avatar with 20+ frames, it takes a long time to process it as not just one frame has to be modified, but several.

Question - do they have to be 80x80, or, as I wish, any size as long as it doesn't exceed 80 pixels on a side?  I'd like to put up one that's 80x60.  Could you use something like 64x64, or 17x77 without the avatar being oddly stretched (causing it to look very weird)?  If you can, that would be very awesome as I'd hate to have add a bunch of black padding around to get the exact 80x80 size.  Now it's figuring out what I want....  Out comes GIMP again....

I think levels 1 through 4 should cap out at about 100 posts per day (about a week), 5 through 9 at 250 (about a month), and 10 and above at 500.  Let's see, doing some basic 5th-grade arithmatic, 500 posts per day means one post every 172.8 seconds for a full 24 hours, or just under 3 minutes between posts.  This is just an average.  I don't see any reason for going beyond 500.  I, myself, could fare just fine with 100, but when helping others or having long, active conversations about something, 300 does seem a bit low.

Firefox is just another browser like IE, Opera, and Netscape, but is open-source (GNU license and thus free).  I'm not sure if this is related to your issue, but it sounds familiar.  Try this once (open in a new window or tab if needed):

1.  Click the "new message" link and let the page fully load.  Type in the text edittor a bit (type anything, but don't submit it).  Text should appear this way.
2.  Click the back button on your browser just once.  You should still see the text edittor, only without the formatting things at the top.  Type in the text field now.  Instead of actual text appearing, a banner appears at the bottom with "quick search" in it and the letter you typed is shown there instead of the actual text appearing in the text edittor itself.
3.  Click forward and you should be able to type in your message (except if you've submitted it and the server is lagging and you use back and forward where this occurs (and you may end up with another error or something).

These are things I've encountered myself and seem like the symptoms you're having.  If you do this short procedure (which should take 20 to 30 seconds), and you get the exact same symptoms, then you're experiencing what I get.  You have to let the text edittor fully load or what I get in step 2 occurs for me.

Are you using Firefox?  If so, when you click back with the text edittor, mysteriously, you cannot type in it until you click forward, or back yet again and click the "new message" thing again.  I've had this ever since I came here in late December of 2006.  I still get it today.  A feature of Firefox is quick searching which causes this to happen.  The control+F method is better as it has more controls.

Having seen the message here that the issue was fixed, I tried reuploading the one with the mega stunt in bead screen and again, I'm getting the "You must be a plus or total access member to use this feature" message right after uploading.  It has apparently not been fixed yet, at least for me anyway.

As to the sig, they must be 200 pixels in height or less. Anything beyond that will just get chopped off. The width is limited to 550 pixels (but seems that it could go to 560 or even 570 - a test will answer that). My signature is 550x200 and if taller than this, it'll get chopped off.

Edit:  As to your issue with reviews, I'm not aware of any limits.  There are known issues with the words c.l.a.s.s and s.t.y.l.e that cause a post to get truncated after being replaced by "forbidden", but if that's not the case, then likely something else occurred.  This is my longest review and if yours is shorter, then character count limitations aren't the issue, it's something else.

Edit #2:  forgot to add the dots where the forbidden words are used.

Sorry for the delay and thanks for providing so much info. I'll do my best to look into why you're getting that error. If you don't hear back from me, feel free to contact me directly via e-mail at vincentl AT gamespot.com.VinceL

I just tried again today with my 2 1/2 minute video and again, it didn't upload and like my "perfect bowling game" video, I'm getting the "you must be a plus or total access member to use this feature" error message.  It's now the 4th attempt at uploading this video.  I'm not sure if you've fixed the issue or not though so I gave it another try the next day to see what happens.  I'm also seeing a pattern, reproducible too:

1.  The video is uploaded, like one normally would.  When it gets done uploading, instead of going to the "finished" step, it goes back to the first part of step 2 where you have the browse button.
2.  I check my profile and the videos to see that it hasn't been uploaded and I try again getting the same results as the first one.
3.  Upon going to the area where I browse for the file, I add it again without checking the profile and stuff.  When I click the "upload" button, the progress bar doesn't appear this time, but my Zonealarm program, which has a traffic monitor, is showing a lot of upload activity, expected.  I wait the 2 2/3 minutes for the video to upload and when it's done, I get the PHP code displayed as mentioned in the ZIP file.
4.  I access my profile again and go to the videos tab and still don't see the "coming soon" or even any new additions to my list of videos.  I then reinput the data as I had before and upload it, but right after finishing the upload, I get the "you must be a plus or total access member to use this feature" message right after the upload finishes and all attempts after it for that same video get the same error.

Twice in a row I've followed this very procedure and I get the exact same results.  If what I get in step 1 occurs right away, there's no way of me uploading the video as a result.  When something unusual occurs, I recall what I was doing beforehand and the circumstances of the errors (taking screenshots if needed).  I was doing beforehand and try reproducing it.  It's part of my bug-hunting technique and I use it in everything.

If you can find the video in the database somewhere (given that I see I have 7 videos uploaded even though 5 are showing up in my profile), then you may want to search for the description and tags I used (copied from my Notepad backup) to help locate it, if it's present:

Mega stunt in Bead Screen

Being tossed up at 2400 mph going over 3 times higher than Inch Worms, I get to 95% of the far clipping range.  Can I make the goal like this?  Action Replay was used only to stop the clock.  Even with practice, you're only 3% likely to succeed.

stunt, stunts, extreme speed, extreme height, unusual views

The top group is the title.  The center is the description I used.  The bottom are the tags used.

I've had this issue for about 3 weeks now.  I have a video of a perfect bowling game in Super Monkey Ball 2 at 5 3/4 minutes and 28.1 (and now 24) MB size, well within the limits of free users and despite uploading it 9 times, nothing happens.  I recently tried uploading a video for a big stunt in the "bead screen" stage which is under 2 1/2 minutes and only 9.2 MB, less than 25% of the upper limit of free users and that video is telling me that I have to be a plus or total access member to use the feature.  As a side test, I tried uploading a video with a completely different set of details.  It's toward a different game (Bubsy 3D instead of Super Monkey Ball 2), a different category (speed runs instead of game play), and far shorter (27 seconds instead of 147), and yet, that uploaded without problems.  When I view one of my videos, I see on the right column that I have 7 videos uploaded, but only 5 show up in my profile.

I can say it's not photobucket's images.  I upload my images to my own webhost (paid service rather than a free one) and point to those.  The only fix I had, to keep consistancy, was to use HTML and the image tag's width and height attributes (keep the width no more than 550 pixels, like the signature, and no higher than 750 (?) pixels for the height).  I did this with a screenshot of Flight Simulator X.  1152x864 is too big to post directly here so I scaled it to 384x288 (1/9 the area) using the width and height attributes and made the image a link so the user it was aimed towards can see the full size version.
