@R4gn4r0k: To be fair I expect the XSX version will be equal to native 1440p (FSR1 injected / reconstructed / upscaled to "4K")
While I expect a 4090 to do around 4K DLAA @ 60 fps (which is quite a bit better than native 4K). alternatively DLSS2-Q @ 90 fps or so.
If the game does support DLSS3, there's no way the 4090 aint doing 4K/120 B)
I doubt they are going to path trace this game like CP2077, AW2, and those RTX games. in which case you can only hope for 70-80 fps at best lol.
In any case the game is super slow paced and cinematic and meant to be played with controller. so 70 fps should be fine but 90-100fps is still preferred. sub-60 is a no no in any game.
Yup, there'll be no benefit from playing with KB/M. As for the technologies and performance we can expect:
The 3080 is about twice as strong as a 1080ti, and the 4090 is about twice as strong as a 3080, give or take.
But games really don't get optimized like that. Like you can see a 2 times framerate increase in some games, not in every game.
UE 5 is also a special beast:
It uses ray tracing for all of its lighting, but it is a software based kind. So it doesn't make use of any of your GPU Ray tracing cores.
I have to say the lighting looks spectacular in Aveum, and it allows the developers to skip a few steps that traditional lighting requires.
But Robocop both looks and runs great, and there are a lot of artifcating there. In fact I would say the reflections looks traight up bad. They look smeared and very fizzled. I don't like it and I far prefer screen space or planar reflections. Heck GTA V From 11 years (!!) ago has way better looking reflections.
So yeah UE 5 is a special beast, it can look a gen ahead and it can look quite disappointing at the same time. And it's also very heavy to run. Look at some UE 5 performance reports on DSOGaming, even the 4090 is struggling to run it at 4K.
