I'll preface this by saying FSU looks like crap, but **** all the haters and "experts" claiming FSU doesn't deserve to be in the playoffs. Guess what? They're still undefeated while Oregon, Alabama, OU, UCLA, TA&M, etc. all went down this weekend. FSU is gonna lose at least 1 game if they continue to play like this, but if they beat Notre Dame and can win tough road games at Miami and Louisville, they deserve 1 of those 4 spots.

^As a side note about Winston, that memorabilia dealer that told on Gurley actually had more Jameis Winston-signed objects on his ebay store (before it was shut down) than he had Gurley stuff. Also had signed items from Braxton Miller and others. There's no video tape of them signing things like there is of Gurley, but it shows how deep this "problem" runs in college football.

FSU is so bad. They've taken years off my life. It's a combination of luck and experience that has gotten them through these games.

Everyone just expects them to explode one of these games, but they won't. They'll probably lose to GT on a neutral field.

This Florida State team reminds me of the 2012 Notre Dame team. Awarded more for simply accumulating wins and their brand name than actual talent. They'll get smashed when they play Bama or Oregon or whoever else earned a top 2 seed in the playoff.

@Chutebox: I think they'll jump to #3 and play Oregon, beating a top-10 team in a championship game is far more impressive than beating a 2-10 opponent, regardless of score. I think there's a good chance Ohio State jumps TCU as well, 11 game winning steak including a recent convincing wins over #8 MSU and a total dismantling of (currently) #13 Wisconsin in their own championship game will probably play better than TCU's or Baylor's respective resumes.

In order for OSU toget in, they'd have to jump two teams really. TCU is 3 now and FSU is 4. I don't see how any of that could change.

God, imagine if this was still a BCS year. That would be fun.

@Chutebox: Like I said. Florida State jumping TCU should be a given after beating a top 10 team in a CC game. As far as the #4 spot goes I'd give Ohio State a good chance to jump into that spot based on their 11-game winning streak, and peaking at the right time with their recent impressive victory over MSU, along with tonight's obvious dismantling of Wisconsin (which should have also quelled any QB concerns). Every team has their arguments, and I understood what happened last week, but despite their blowout win (over a 2-10 opponent) I don't see where TCU's support is going to come from this week.

I don't know, I think it's going to stay as is, especially with OSU with a 3rd string QB.

Shitty thing is if they put in TCU at all since Baylor has the same record and beat TCU. So maybe they'll put in OSU and take TCU just to avoid that? Should be fun!

Not that it matters since I think FSU is getting in anyway, but GT was ranked #11 by the committee. It's gonna be Alabama, Oregon, FSU, OSU.

In any case, I'm almost positive FSU's magic is running out. They'll be obliterated by Oregon since their defense is horrible. Something like 48-28. Against Alabama I think they can hang tough, but eventually just get worn down in the 4th quarter. Perhaps 31-21. No lie, I hope FSU hires Muschamp as the D-coordinator in the offseason. Give that man a blank check.

I had a feeling it was going to be Ohio State and felt they deserved, but holy shit was that intense to watch. On the whole though, while whole process was messy at times and the committee has puzzled me at times (Most recently: TCU falling 3 spots this week, even if they never deserved to be at #3 to begin with), the alternative to this would have been deciding between Alabama or Oregon to play Florida State, so I'll take playoffs any day.

That being said I'd like to see expansion but only to with byes (obviously) set up like a conference the NFL playoffs, but without any autobids. To me that gives each conference a fair chance to get their teams into the playoff but preserves the regular season and ensures that the playoff truly represents deserving teams by not giving a cheap bid to a bad conference or an undeserving team who happened to spring an upset in the Conference Championship game.

Oregon is gonna be a nightmare match up for FSU. Last year, we had the defense to at least contain the Ducks I think. Our defense is down right terrible this year, especially against the run. Only chance FSU has is to put up points every drive and hopefully force a turnover or two.

Ugh, we have to travel to Pasedena as well...
