So true, and you don't have to wait until mid-gen to get good performance and graphics on PC. On consoles you have to deal with crappy framerates and lower IQ for years and even after the upgraded consoles are released only certain previously released games will get upgraded.
The other thing that sucks about consoles is that whether you choose to go with Sony or Microsoft you won't be guaranteed to have the more powerful console each generation. If you sick with Sony's ecosystem, for example, you might have the more powerful console one generation only to have the weaker underpowered console the next. With PC you always can have the best performance and graphics EVERY generation.
You're wrong about that. Obviously we won't get the cinematic camera angles during gameplay, but the quality of the assets is representative of what we actually get in the game. Some of the trailer likely contains cutscenes from the game.
The same was true of Star Wars Battlefront. People said there's no way it can look that good, but the final game did look that good, especially on PC.
