Well that was fast. When you try to pull a fast one and gamers retaliate....

Raising the prices during a pandemic what were ya thinking Microsoft? That kinda tells ya what happens, they want all the Gold subs to sub to Game pass Ultimate.

Nah I think microsoft should include both the battery pack and two AA batteries in their console package. Now that would've been a nice choice. But hey companies gotta make those hardware monies. Kinda like Microsoft selling their proprietary HDD while Sony is selling media remote , docking station, headset, and cameras since they aren't making anything on consoles itself.

Not saying i don't like the AA batteries option, but the cost of it is much more than just buying a Xbox battery pack. 4-8 rechargable batteries + charger can possibly cost around $15-20 which is about the same as an Xbox controller battery pack. Better yet just go to GameStop and buy two used one for like $9 each. Loose batteries are like boomer generation nowadays. The only thing I would even consider using it is on a remote controller.

@BassMan: Except to find out those rechargeable AA batteries are usually shit....so had to buy more.

I think i bought a total of 8 batteries. They only last barely an hour now after two years of extensive use. Ended up buying a lithium battery pack.

I think it would be cool if Microsoft came with rechargeable batteries, but nope they are just regular AA batteries and thus duped us into buying rechargeable batteries.

I'm sure the lawyers gonna get like $20 million while everyone else gonna get like $5. I know. I filed for that Red Bull lawsuit.
