Lets not forget what the event was about.

Oh definitely an attack on democracy. Disgusting to see any American defend it. I don't care what your ideology is.

I find it disgusting to not let the American people see this footage. I find it disgusting the Jan 6 committee left out certain footage to paint a narrative. I find it disgusting americans were charged and thrown in prison and their defense attorneys were not given this video footage.

I find it disgusting that Chuck Shumer is demanding Fox not let Tucker talk about the footage that was never released to the public!!

Imagine if Trump came out and demanded a news station shut down an anchor or journalist for sharing real video footage!!

What timeline even is this?!?!

There's nothing in that footage. So they weren't violent 100% of the time. They were still violent. Cops were still injured. They were still trespassing. They were still disrupting the process wherein we elect our new leader. Overthrowing the vote is NOT a patriotic action. We will never 100% like the outcome. But as a country that prides itself on "freedom" and "democracy" this is embarrassing. You accept the outcome of the vote.

I find it disgusting that a segment of the population were so groomed by hate and lies that they followed a loser in attacking each other and attempting to demolish what makes this country free. Hint: that's the ability to elect our leaders. You want to follow an individual that wants to take that from you and install himself.

That's what is disgusting.

Do you admit Tucker is fake news and lied about this particular event?

Why was the footage not given to more reputable outlets?

Shaman got 4 years. I've yet to see any footage of him be violent.

I just recently saw footage of buffalo hat man walked around escorted by capital police, I saw video of capital police go to open a door to the chamber floor for buffalo hat man to enter.. but it was locked..

So capital police walked him to another door and opened that one for him to enter...

Shaman got 4 years for obstructing the vote.

The vote was postponed before shaman was let in by capital police.

This guy got rail roaded, not only by the media but by the January 6 commitee.

Every American was lied to by the Jan 6 commitee. They had that footage too and refused to show it to you. Why did they refuse to show you that footage LJS?

Why did the Jan 6th committee not show us footage of capital police escorting the shaman to the floor of the chamber. Why would they not show us that? They had the footage.

Why is Chuck Shumer and Mitch McConnell fuming that the footage now is being showed?

Do you think the government should have kept that footage of capital police escorting shaman man to floor opening doors for him?

Do you think that should have been kept secret from the American Public?

If so why?

He was trespassing and involved in the insurrection. You can't hand wave that away.

I don't need to see every frame of footage to know what happened that day. I saw it as it happened. I saw replays of it over the years. Just because there is isolated moments that aren't violent doesn't erase what happened that day.

The footage ISN'T being shown. It's being edited to fit an agenda to generate money.

The DOJ says footage was available for defendants and their attorneys. Nothing was kept secret. You saw what was important. I don't need to see a car sitting at a red light to know that I saw it hit another car down the block.

SargentD really needs to believe that Trump never tried to overthrow the election and that the insurrection Trump incited never happened!

You are never going to convince him otherwise. Facts don't matter when you are a member of cult 45's personality.

The question I’d like answered by Sargent (and anyone who defends Carlson and his narrative) is why doesn’t he want the cops charged for dereliction of duty in failing to protect our Capitol, instead of the absolving of any and all blame of the ones who were allowed to defile it?

Doubt I’ll get an answer to that one, as that would be a bit too revealing as to why they actually want people like Chansley freed: because they agree with the underlying goal of Jan 6th and view it as a good thing.

Seems much more likely that the footage will eventually all be released now than before. That in and of itself justifies the segments.

Definitely looks to cast doubt on all these Far Right Terrorists we were all told about. Hell, they even edited the footage of the one guy running out to make it seem like he was just some huge coward. He was at the end of a large group of people running out.

1. Elon is trying to appeal to the uneducated cons lol. How pathetic.

2. Why do you hate the law and prefer crime?

NOT REAL NEWS: A look at what didn't happen this week | AP News

For example, the statement explains that Chansley entered the Capitol through a broken door as part of a crowd that “was not lawfully authorized to enter or remain in the building” and that he was one of the first 30 rioters inside. It goes on to note that although officers asked Chansley and others multiple times to leave the Capitol, he did not comply and actively riled up his fellow rioters. The statement describes Chansley’s interactions with officers, but also points out that he “entered the Gallery of the Senate alone.” Chansleypleadedguiltyin September 2021 to afelony chargeof obstructing an official proceeding. Hewas sentencedin November 2021 to 41 months in prison. Asked about claims that protesters were led through the building, a Capitol Police spokesperson pointed The Associated Press to an HBO documentary about the riot, “Four Hours at the Capitol,” in which an officer describes his encounter with Chansley, including how he asked the rioter and others to leave the Senate wing.Footagefrom the interaction appears in the documentary. “Any chance I can get you guys to leave the Senate wing?” the officer says as Chansley sits in the presiding officer’s chair on the Senate Dais. A video of Chansley walking into the Capitol through the broken door ispublicly availableonthe websiteof the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia. U.S. Capitol Police Chief J. Thomas Manger lambasted Carlson’s segment on the Jan. 6 footage in aninternal memoTuesday. “Last night an opinion program aired commentary that was filled with offensive and misleading conclusions about the January 6 attack,” Manger wrote. “One false allegation is that our officers helped the rioters and acted as ‘tour guides.’ This is outrageous and false.”

The notion that you should only get a few months of prison time for stopping the god damn POTUS Election of the United States of America is some of the biggest bullshit I have ever heard.

You're only doing this because you're far right and you agree with these rioters. Elon is only doing it because he knows how easy the cultists are to trick and feed him.

No it doesn't. The "terrorists" we're talking about are the people who were being violent and/or were there to stop the election. Just because they were walking around later or before the violence doesn't alter this fact.

  • Chansley entered the Capitol through a door other rioters had broken open. He was among the first 30 rioters inside the building.
  • Chansley and other rioters went to the second floor of the Senate side of the building and "were met by a line of U.S. Capitol Police officers, instructing them to peacefully leave the building." Chansley challenged U.S. Capitol Police Officer Keith Robishaw "to let them pass." Chansley ultimately used "his bullhorn to rile up the crowd and demand that lawmakers be brought out."
  • Chansley went to the third floor, entered the Senate Gallery and "proceeded to scream obscenities in the Gallery," as other rioters entered the Senate chamber below.
  • Chansley next tried to gain entry to the Senate floor and again encountered Robishaw, "who once again asked him to leave the building." Chansley said others were on the Senate floor and he was going to join them; the officer followed him.
  • Chansley climbed the Senate dais and sat in then-Vice President Mike Pence’s seat, taking pictures of himself. Despite repeated requests from Robishaw, Chansley refused to vacate the seat. "Mike Pence is a f- - -ing traitor," he said.
  • Just after 3 p.m., "other law enforcement officers arrived to support (Robishaw) and cleared the defendant and other rioters from the chamber."

Cope more, Sarg.

False. Just because there was a few minutes of "calm" does not change what ultimately happened that day. This is called trying to rewrite history to suit a narrative. I know what I saw. Carlson's edits do not change that.

Second, Hawley was a coward. He cheered them on outside but when they came in, he ran, and apparently slower than those much older than him. Total failure.

Literally video of him entering without police escort, after insurrectionists break open the doors.

Several more videos of police asking him to leave, and him riling up crowds to instead keep going. First one to enter Senate chambers, and leaves a threatening note to Pence. All while delaying the election (their goal).

Of course he plead guilty to all of this.

He was at the front lines every step of the way, running through each visible barricade and then the first doors....

The Shaman guy seems a bit nuts, but still haven't seen him do anything violent. Walking through a broken door is not exactly a big crime. And the footage didn't show him "rush the barricades". Others in front of him did and he followed along.

I dunno, four years seems a bit much to me. Can't help but to feel that the way he was dressed and became a symbol for the whole fiasco affected the ruling.

This wasn't a Walmart, he helped stop an election proceedings for the god damn US POTUS....We really don't need this happening every 4 years. He plead guilty, and the video the TC is using was already debunked by fact checkers.

Cops asked him to stop multiple times but he carried on and rallied others. This guy was at the front lines multiple times, and was not lead in by cops.

The Shaman guy seems a bit nuts, but still haven't seen him do anything violent.

This wasn't a Walmart, he helped stop an election proceedings for the god damn US POTUS....We really don't need this happening every 4 years.

Cops asked him to stop multiple times but he carried on and rallied others. This guy was at the front lines multiple times, and was not lead in by cops.

Play stupid games win stupid prizes.

Yeah he walked in through the door himself, that is a fact. He was at the front line, but I have not seen him lead any assaults, nor do anything violent. Not even push anyone.

So the cops asked him to leave, he didn't comply and they did nothing? They must have not felt that he was that big of a threat then. I mean in some footage he is pretty much alone with multiple cops. If they viewed him as a threat they could have just handcuffed him and put him away somewhere. Clearly they felt pretty calm in his vicinity.

I dunno, four years in prison is a lot. I think there needs to be more to it than simply being an idiot.

He was part of the initial mob that stopped the US Presidential Election proceeding. This is a big deal. You don't have to show violence to get prison time for something that insane.

Seems fair to me. He even plead guilty.

He wasn't just being a mindless idiot, there was clear intent after he wrote a threatening message to Pence and left it there.

The mob wanted to stop the election and met their goal. Four years is more than fair.

This guy got rail roaded by the media and government for wearing a goofy costume. I'm willing to bet all the other people who walked through that broken door weren't charged with 4 years.

He's legit on film being escorted to the chamber by police officers, he doesn't know where he's going... The capital police are on camera escorting him and opening doors for him. They legit look like they are guiding him to the chamber.

Also the election proceedings were moved and postponed well before he got escorted to the chamber by police. So to claim shaman was the reason election proceedings were interrupted seems disengenous as well..

Keep in mind this guy ended up taking a plea bargain. It didn't go to trial. Admit guilt and get 4 years or risk trial and getting 20. Shamans lawyer has publicly said he was not given the footage Tucker showed on his program. This most definitely is opening a big can of worms not just for him but for anyone charged that day at the capital.

that's not the video his lawyer is claiming he never saw, but the footage of him being escorted to the chamber by capital police is the video he never saw, not this one.

So your Twitter source has missed the mark entirely.

There were tons of people there. Some clearly were violent and should get prison for sure. But from what I understand the Shaman got one of the toughest sentences. I checked this article:

Jan. 6 Capitol Rioters Arrests and Sentences So Far | Time

The ones who got longer time all did violent acts against the police, or were armed.

I think that indicates that the Shaman did not get his sentence based on what he did, but because of the symbol the media made him. That is wrong.

That's not the impression I get from the footage. Like when two cops were calmly walking with him. They had plenty of time to take care of him if they felt they needed to.

This is why McCarthy only gave it to Tucker, to trick you with cherry picked videos. This is what sane Americans were worried about, what you just wrote.

There is other footage showing what I said.

Where did Tucker say the Capital police shouldn't be investigated for escorting protestors to the chamber?

You bring up a good point. Why do these police officers get off when they are on film literally escorting protestors to the chamber??

Is it possible they were told to do this by higher ups? Was this thier individual decision to bring individuals to the chamber and open doors for them?

I think we might need to have an investigation into this Mirko!

Let's put these officers on the stand and question them!!!!

Did the law enforcers have an opportunity to restrain him if they felt the need to? Cleraly they did!

You do not need the full chain of events to determine that. The footage is enough, cherry-picked or not.

You do not need the full chain of events to determine that. The footage is enough, cherry-picked or not.

I mean you're just objectively wrong as per court documents, other videos (Tucker has you tricked good), and every fact checker on this matter.

Claim: “The tapes show the Capitol Police never stopped Jacob Chansley. They helped him. They acted as his tour guides.”

Facts: This is false. Chansley, also known as the “QAnon Shaman,” who was sentenced to 41 months in prison for obstructing an official proceeding on Jan. 6, 2021, signed a plea agreement acknowledging that he entered the Capitol through a door broken by other rioters and that he ignored Capitol Police officers who asked him to exit the building multiple times.

But Capitol Police Chief Thomas Manger disputed Carlson’s description of the events in a staff memo issued the day after Carlson’s show aired. Manger said officers tried to resolve the situation without violence.

“One false allegation is that our officers helped the rioters and acted as ‘tour guides.’ This is outrageous and false,” Manger wrote. “This Department stands by the officers in the video that was shown last night. I don’t have to remind you how outnumbered our officers were on January 6. Those officers did their best to use de-escalation tactics to try to talk rioters into getting each other to leave the building.”

One of the officers seen walking with Chansley, Capitol Police Officer Keith Robishaw, who has red hair and was wearing glasses and a light blue face mask, explained his thinking in the 2021 HBO documentary “Four Hours at the Capitol.”

In one of his first encounters with a group of rowdy protesters, including Chansley, who was armed with a spear affixed with an American flag, Robishaw said he knew he and his fellow officers had to try to get them to leave peacefully.

“We were standing on that line, and there was the six of us. Meeting violence with violence at this time would not be safe for me and my fellow officers,” Robishaw said about 36 minutes into the film. “The sheer number of them compared to us, I knew in my head there was no way that we could all get physical with them, so I took it upon myself to try and talk to them.”

“No attacking, no assault, remain calm,” Robishaw told the men.

All I claimed was that the police had opportunities to arrest Chansley if they wanted to. If you don't see that I don't know what to say tbh.

Explain how Chansley could not have been arrested in either of these two situations.

@Sushiglutton: The police were outnumbered that day and had no way of taking anyone to jail. I think you're confusing what the Capital Police do with what happens in your community by the way. But look at the people outside, that were enraged. The police were pretty much stuck inside. Stop making apologies for criminals.

Ok I will try again. Look at the two images. Did the police have the opportunity to arrest Chansley?

Okay. You didn't understand what I said. Just admit that.
