4K/60 could definitely have been the downfall. DF seemed to find an issue with lighting being improper, leading to lack of shadowing, so I have no idea at this point.

The one thing MS has left now is if there should be a significant performance difference for CP2077 on the next consoles (and other third parties of course). That could make people hesitate. Other than that they will be destroyed. It’s this gen all over again...

Halo was never a reason I would or would not buy an XBOX. Not really drawn to the game.

It really depends on the price. It's the only strategy they have left. One X didn't exactly fly off the shelves.

$500 for a dedicated multiplat box is a tough sell. I really don't believe there will be a significant difference in how games look on PS5 and XSX either. Diminishing returns is becoming a real thing in gaming.

Yeah. Price will definitely a big factor. Maybe they can do massive discounts as a bonus until haloi comes out.

Obviously it needs more work on it, but the most concerning factor on this is the fact that they needed to be pointed by literally everyone the obvious flaws of a product they were so proud of.

I'm not....but those games are in the same window as STALKER 2, Halo Infinate, Hellblade 2, Forza, The medium, Everwild and others. Within a year of release.

Both Sony and MS have struggled to get games ready for launch due to the pandemic. I actually think Sony have been clever with Miles Morales...but realistically it's a shortened, enhanced ps4 game bundled with an enhanced version of the original ps4 game. None of the others in your list are available at launch which leaves Godfall and another game I can't remember the name of.
It's the worst launch lineup of any generation I can think of...on both sides....but again, when devs have to work at home things get delayed.

Ninja Theory was talking about how they just picked the location of the game a month ago and Rare said they haven't decided what kind of game Everwild is yet. Forza is also early development. You don't finish early development games in a year.

Microsoft has nothing coming for the next 2 years. Everything was riding on Halo Infinite and 343 did what they always do. They dropped the ball.

Well, as of now Stalker 2, Everwild, Forza, Halo, Hellblade 2, The Medium and Call of the Sea are equally around the corner....with 6 studios yet to announce their games.
As I said elsewhere, as far as launches go they're both pretty poor due to devs working at home...

Like some have said, how they even showed Halo while in that state is beyond me. How did they not know it looked like dogshit?

You think any of those games outside of Halo and The Medium will be coming within a year? STALKER 2's still a target render and not even underway, Everwild doesn't even have a solid gameplay concept down yet, Hellblade 2 debuted with a non-gameplay trailer that could be CG, and Forza is STILL in early-development.

Don't even get me started on Fable.
