@chriss_m: The mongol invasions actually led to a lot of internal upheaval that paved the way for the Warring States Period. It's a fascinating subject, and pretty much an untouched subject in videogames.
@Gaming-Planet: Or just made resistance fighters a part of the story. Hell, there was one woman from the Soviet Union who is a celebrated war hero. She sniped crazy numbers of Nazis. Also, the various European resistances very often had women in their ranks.
I'm surprised they thought that audiences would not relate the kozane to samurai armor. I suppose it would be a little less aesthetically pleasing than the stuff we are used to seeing from the Warring States period, though.
@martimusprime: I don't necessarily expect a college course when I play a videogame, but it should be encouraged for anyone to take the subject of a historic moment with some respect to the source. To not do so is to spread ignorance.
@franklucito: animation fluidity is something that typically happens in optimization and late stages of development. A very common gripe with early demos of games is that either animation is too jerky or the trailer shows something that isn't in the game at all because of all the scripting involved. It's going to be one or the other, though, because the truth is that such things don't get ironed out til a game is just months from going gold.
@croxus: You need to look at AMD's road map for 7nm chips. It's obvious why PS5 is coming out in 2021. The leap will be very real, at least for the CPU side, which is an absolute potato right now.
