I did note the lack of splodey-ness. It made me sad, but frankly, the longer it stays in development, the less I believe it will actually be worthwhile.

Double Dragon. Neon was crap even compared to the likes of Super DD and DD Advance. In the post-Arkham age, there's no reason for a one-button beat 'em up anymore. I hope they don't screw up Battletoads the same way.

Captain America: Super Soldier was never a franchise, but it should've been.

TMNT: Out of the Shadows deserved a better-funded, more polished sequel.

Mercenaries. Both of the games were stellar, 3 looked promising before it was canceled, and Mercenaries, Inc could have been ridiculous fun if it were co op as well as competitive.

@blackhairedhero: Unity? Seriously? That game was a dumpster fire.

Assassin's Creed was more clever, and thus a better game, than any of its sequels.

GTA Online was a better game than GTA5 or any of its predecessors.

TMNT: Out of the Shadows was better than Turtles in Time and should be universally recognized as the greatest Ninja Turtles game of all time.

Captain America: Super Soldier was better than Batman: Arkham Asylum.

The Acrobatic Style Shooter (Max Payne, Stranglehold, Chili con Carnage) is a woefully underrepresented genre and WET is still the best one ever made.

Sleeping Dogs was as good a shooter as it was a beat 'em up.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood is still the best competitive multiplayer game of all time.

And finally, Sea of Thieves is the best online experience I've ever had.

Spec Ops: The Line is one of a very few games I would call "art." It was on a very short list of games that transcended entertainment and really made you feel something. I was in a funk for days after beating that game and ruminating on what it all meant.

And Metal Gear can suck it.

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames. You're not really good or bad, per se, but you can kill anyone you like(as long as you don't need them at the moment) and you can decimate entire city blocks with massive air strikes.

If you've got a PS2/Xbox, there's The Punisher. Along side Spider-Man 2, it was one of the best comic book games of all time.

Sounds great. Don't forget about the parts where you conduct swat raids at 3am and hold an entire family at gunpoint while you tear their home apart looking for the pot you got a tip from your drug-using informant about.

Oooo, or what about the around-the-house simulator minigame? You know- after you've shot some unarmed kid because he couldn't hear you over his headphones, and you're on paid vacation while your department "investigates" the incident?

Traffic stops? Sounds great! Better make sure there is a dedicated "I smell marijuana" button. Or better yet, you can call in the k9 unit and press a button to tell it when to "hit" on the car, manufacturing probable cause at will.

But how will the developers manage the subtle nuances of how to escalate a non-consensual encounter with a non-violent citizen to the point where you get to taze him and beat him into a bloody mess?

Will the be a button to turn off your body cam? Or will it be the same button you press at your cruiser to stop the dash cam?

The final mission could be when the people protest against police brutality, to can swap mid mission between the roles of:

agent provocateur, attempting to incite a riot(don't forget to whip out your gun when you're ID'd!);

detention guard, macing those handcuffed whining, hippie protesters wholesale because they just won't SHUT UP;

and riot cop who outwardly stands so stoically while the protesters shout and wave signs and chant, but inwardly his rage meter is bubbling upward higher and higher while waiting in anticipation for the moment of almost sexual release brought on by the word to wade into the protesters, beating them with truncheons, and trampling over the ones who fall down.

Yeah, man. U.S. Cop Simulator 2017. It's on my pre-order list.

I've played it since launch and across both systems as well. At level 220+, I've also seen just about all the game had to offer. I haven't spent a lot of time with it in the last 6 months- I popped in for the Lowrider update and spent some time on it after the Executives and Other Criminals update, but Lamar's missions were a pain in the ass and didn't even pay well(which was especially annoying since they actually had cutscenes), and the E&OC missions require an actual team, and all my friends are pretty much bored of it, too.

I'll log in during the Valentine's update to buy any cool stuff they may add, but I'm inching toward being totally done with the game every day.

Use your savings to sue for emancipation, get your own place and live life how you want to. Succeed. Make more money gaming on your own than they do together working their straight jobs and rub their noses in it.

@Crypt_mx: you don't understand. Ghost Recon used to be about taking 30 minutes to cross a hundred yards because you were checking everywhere for bad guys. Because if they saw you first, you're dead. Ever since Future Soldier(and to a lesser degree, Advanced Warfighter), it's just been standard FPS tactics like Popping out from Cover, and Running Around like Morons Firing your Guns the Whole Way, and Go Charging up Behind Badguys for the Stealth Kill Because They're all Conveniently Deaf at Close Range.
