Am I the only one who thinks charging $60 for the initial game and then an additional $15/month subscription fee in a market where only free-to-play games have any sort of fanbase (aside from World of Warcraft) is bat-shit fucking insane? There is no level of quality that could justify spending $240 for a year's access to a game from a company that has no proven track record (Bethesda only have experience with SP-only free-roaming action-RPGs). This cost doesn't even include tax or premium items. People could spend upwards of $300.
I like Zelda green hat too. I also like that there are still people in this world so obsessed with their image in the eyes of their peers that they wouldn't associate themselves with anything that, while genuinely good, could make them look like a... OMG 12 YEAR OLD, THE HORROR!
As a 27 year-old, I play games I enjoy, not games that make me seem "cool" to my teenage friends.
Love Feedbackula. Pretty much the first and only weekly series Gamespot has ever put out in my nearly 9 years here that I've been interested enough to keep coming back to. Keep up the good work guys and gals in 2014. Would love to see a series on positive community feedback as well.
EA didn't have to offer their games for a Humble Bundle, but they did. That is a praiseworthy step. I saw a lot of people get really entitled around that particular bundle. It was as if EA "owed" them cheap games, or something. I bought three of those bundles to share with people I know, as I thought the money I was spending on them was going towards a good cause. Shame on anyone for trying to take charity (regardless of where it comes from or who is doing it) and turn it into a means to attack a company's other actions in other areas.
The Omni Move is a next major step in enthusiast VR. Something I was pondering a decade ago when I was trying to think of how gaming could become more VR-like. Oculus Rift, with the Omni Move and the hand-gesture sensor will really make the next major stride towards true VR. I want it all.
