I still have the PC in my signature, all the same components and monitor.

In terms of consoles, I have a PlayStation 2, 3, and 5, a PlayStation Classic, a Sega Genesis, SNES, a Nintendo Switch, and a Raspberry Pi I've set up with Retroarch with thousands of games from various classic systems.

My main gaming TV is a 65" Samsung QN90A QLED. I also have a 55" TLC 6-series 4K TV in my bedroom upstairs.

My total library of games depends on what we're counting. Physical copies only, in the realm of 75-100 games. Add digital across various PC storefronts and PSN/Nintendo Eshop, and it's a little north of 600 or so.

For my money, the first PlayStation. That thing started off so many legendary series, and has some of the best entries in a few to this day.

Metal Gear Solid 2. It's pretty cool now, but at the time of its release it was incredible. I remember playing it for the first time when I finally got a PS2. Early 2002, I was 14. Felt like I was watching the future beginning right in front of me.

The only thing that was ever more impressive in a contemporary sense was seeing and playing Super Mario 64 for the first time when the N64 was new.

I do think about some of the older OTers from time to time. I remember a guy who was going through seminary, and possibly a degree in theology beyond that, by the name of (I might be wrong on this) mindstorm.

Not just him though. There are others. Usernames don't come easily to me. It's been a long time, and I don't even post here that much anymore.

I don't miss them, they're still pretty ubiquitous. I do tend to enjoy linear games more than open world games, though. The average open world game feels poorly padded out with either vast expanses of nothingness or cut-and-paste dungeons/caves/towns with nothing of note, which makes exploration a slog.

My grandma watched a lot of Evangelical Christian TV when I was growing up, so I really looked up to guys like Kenneth Copeland and Benny Hinn.

What do I think of them now? Obvious snake oil salesmen who exploit vulnerable people for a lot of money.

The 2000s were pretty great, but by the 2010s my own personal taste in music had sort of crystallized, and so I was able to more easily zero in on the things I enjoy in music and experience a lot of great new projects from my favorite artists and artists like them.

I recall picking up Nier for the PS3 at a GameStop for around $5. This was maybe ten years ago, and I grabbed it on a whim. Close to the best $5 I've ever spent, and one of my favorite overall experiences of that generation.

I've currently got a 5700 XT, and have no reason to upgrade anytime soon.
