I'm confused. Is Gamespot wanting to become like IGN and review movies and other things too? Or are they just taking advantage of the huge hype around Star Wars just to get the easy boost in views? Whatever the reason, Gamespot seems to have and identity problem.
First Gamespot basically calls the game crap with their review, then they post videos like this implying it is good (because seriously, since when do they spend extra time on Oculus with crappy games?) Talk about mixed messages. . .
@GreySeven His fame and huge YouTube success is mostly from a combination of luck and timing. This is true for all YouTubers who have struck gold with their channels. Similar to going to Hollywood and becoming a star, or striking gold during the gold rush. Once you get the lucky break and go viral and get huge subscriptions and post regularly, from there you have it made.
Since his success he's been imitated by countless others; the majority not getting anywhere near as successful (rich). I don't understand his appeal either, but I can't deny that over 31 million viewers worldwide currently see something that I don't.
@MooncalfReviews The reviews are not saying that they dislike the slow pace and bland moments. They are saying there is simply too much of it. Balance is key. It does not make sense to play 11 hours of sheer boredom to get less than an hour of excitement. It works in a movie, because it is only 2 hours long. In a 12 hour game? Not so much. Perhaps if they developed this as a 2 hour game with replayability, and slashed the price, this could have been a hit.
GRRRRR! Why is it impossible to make a great Alien game? This one seemed different and seemed to have been taking care to finally give us the great Alien game that has been long overdue. Instead, it turns out to be as bad or worse than its predecessors of failed Alien games.
The game costs 59.99. Unfortunately that gives just the install game files. If you want the key to actually play it, that will cost you an additional 29.99. Lol.
