Everyone on the Gamespot staff seems British. Is GS HQ now in UK? I thought it was still in San Fran. For that matter everyone at IGN seems British too. Coincidence? Just curious. Not trying to start anything.
The person's remark about Mark of the Ninja is spot on. If you want to play a truly good stealth game, look no further than this game. Yes it is a platform, but that's the incredible part. It managed to be one of the best stealth games I have played (aside from Thief 1 & 2). And it's cheap.
I hope the ex-Looking Glass Studio people are laughing right now. Just goes to show, you screw with an original's formula too much, you end up making crap.
@SteXmaN @Qixote Hey, I call it like I see it on the screen. It looks silly. A real life FOV doesn't always translate well onto a display in a video game.
Oh, when I crouch in real life, I don't need to spread my arms like that for balance. Unless maybe when I happen t be walking on a narrow beam above a pool of ravenous piranhas. . .
It looks totally ridiculous the way Garrett always keeps his hands stretched in front of him when unequipped. Really? Is that how a real thief actually moves? Like a sleepwalker? Gee, thanks, I didn't know. . . The overdramatic movement reminds me of Bluto from Animal House.
It sounds to me that Levine is tired of the big corporate environment. It gets in his way to do things the way he wants to do them. Good for him. I'm sure the games he makes with his own smaller studio will be stellar.
As a longtime GTA fan, it pains me to say that I hope GTA V does not win GOTY. It was way too much of the same. Many missions in the campaign were copies from a previous GTA. San Andreus from 9 years ago was much better (and bigger). After this long, you would think a company like Rockstar would have evolved. They haven't one bit. They seem to think we only want to hear the word "ni**er" in ever sentence of dialogue. Did I enjoy playing GTA V? Yes. Enough to consider it as the best game this year? Not even close. Just keeping things real, and honest.
